Great for severe diaper rash!
Our infant had a diaper rash that would not clear up from any diaper cream or even the hospital made rash ointment. This with the Cavilon cream was the only thing that healed it! He had open wounds that wouldn’t heal with airing out or constant changing. Would highly recommend for severe diaper rash. Research “crusting” for diaper rash to know how to apply with the spray. Took care of the rash in about 3 days.

Good but found to be unnecessary
I'm a novice at wearing ostomy bags and was having issues with irritated skin around the stoma and the bag. I thought that this was the solution but found that the bags did not adhere as well when I used it. I started using an adhesive wipe that offered skin protection and better adhesion of the bag's adhesive collar. So I would recommend using Skin Tac Wipes.

Great product for peristomal wounds.
I have been using all kinds to help heal, manage peristome wounds caused by skin irritation from pulling wafer without using adhesive remover spray, I initially thought the wipes will do but it did not. The skin irritation was made worse by effluents seeping thru the wafer regardless of how good you approximate the stoma size. When the stoma contract and relax, the wafer shape does not change neither will the barrier rings, or stomahesive paste.I have ileostomy so my output is usually watery.I have used Drawtex also which is good as it absorbs liquid but problem is, it still stays under the wafer so you develop skin maceration. The utube reviews mentioned that skin crusting technique with Stomahesive powder as a preventive or irritated skin but not open wounds.I found a UK based peristomal wound management that mentioned powder. It did not mention specific powder used for wounds so I went back and use this convatec stomahesive protective powder.I did use the convatec skin spray barrier then powder ( use as directed on the label) then spray again. It did helped heal the wounds but I also change my wafer daily or sometimes 2x a day whenever I feel the wounds burning. If you have peristomal wounds, you know what I’m talking about. I also try to watch my fluid intake including Oral rehydration solutions ( ORS). My surgeon said, take something for diarrhea to help thicken the stool hence decreasing effluents seeping thru the wafer.I just decrease my ORS intake and drink plenty of water, watch what I eat which you need to do anyway or you will end up having blockages. So overall, I believe my peristomal wound healing is a combination of what exactly I did. I wish their is one product out there that can do it but nada!As a disclaimer, everybody’s experience will be different.!
