I give it five stars for the light fixtures itself for easy installation. However, instructions definitely need improvement and the Sunco APP to program the lighting temperature for the different rooms. The APP has a help search capability but does NOT help at times. As Mechanical Engineer I was able to methodically go through the steps many times until I was able to group the lights together for the i.e. living room, kitchen, hall, etc which requires different temperatures. Then hiding the lights of each room was not intuitive, just by chance. The color option dial is awesome, but the scenic option is OK. Thus far (2-weeks) I recommend these cool retrofit lights.

These are bright enough for daily use and programmable for when there is a party

The media could not be loaded. They cannot be dimmed at the switch, only the through the app. If you install them on a dimmer, they flicker like crazy. I think if you place them on a non-dimming switch, you’ll be ok but I was not happy that I installed one and it worked great so I shut the light switch off, and installed the other 3 only to have them flicker like a strobe when I turned the switch on. If I dim the power all the way down, they work fine but that makes no sense to have dimmers and not be able to use them and to have to get into the app just to dim them? Or have to ask Alexa? I’m returning them.

I bought these for my teen daughter’s room. She sleeps through her alarm, so I thought I could set them to turn on and wake her up. You can turn on music and the lights will listen and put on a corresponding light show. They are really cool.

These instal easily, pop right in. We wanted bright lights but these are not super bright. Even when color changer. They are flickered off and on depending on which color you selected. Just didn’t work for us we replaced them with a similar set we liked better.

For starters, the physical build of these lights and the illumination are some of the best I have seen in any LED lights. The butterfly flips worked perfectly with our existing boxes, and once installed they have an incredibly sleek and finished appearance. I am very sensitive to LED flicker, and this is almost inevitable with dimmable and color-changing lights, but all colors and brightness appear flicker-free. From a flicker perspective, these perform better than any other lights I have used outside of professional production lights.The biggest negative is that one of the four lights seems to have some LEDs that have failed making it impossible to display certain colors. Blue and 2700k-6000k look good, but green and red settings only show a hue of white or yellow. The other three lights look great with a broad white temperature range and vibrant colors.The lights must be controlled with Sunco app which has some high and low points. The best part is that these lights synced with the app very quickly and I was able to change my settings within a couple of minutes of turning them on. The individual light controls are relatively simple with color temperature or RGB settings. The biggest negative of this app is when you need to control more than one of these lights at a time. Scenes can be set up to assign certain properties to multiple lights at once. Despite listing options to enable color mode and music modes, these settings do nothing. Setting a color temperature prompts an additional control bar, but this is set as a percent for some reason instead of a value in kelvin. I found that the lower the percentage of the color temperature the warmer the light will be. If color mode is selected there is no value to specify, so the light just doesn't change.There is also the confusing music mode. This uses your smart device's microphone to change the light to different colors in response to music. To make sure I had full party mode going I enabled this for all lights, at which point I discovered that only one light at a time can be set to music mode with the rest being static. Since I saw the music option in the scene settings I figured that may be the way to enable them all at once. I took a few minutes to setup a music scene, and when I activated it nothing happened at all. The app is trying to do a lot, and it succeeds in some areas, but there are still many gaps in functionality. This is especially noticeable when selecting the "Lighting" menu that takes you to a paragraph that ends with "please look forward to..." with the only option being a back button.Overall, these lights are incredibly impressive with their light quality and solid build quality. The 25% failure rate and incomplete app is a big downside, but I am hopeful that future updates will fix some of these issues. I am keeping these installed due to the high-quality lighting while I tolerate the issues within the app.

Just want I wanted. Easy to install. Easy to setup. Very responsive with Alexa and Google home. Great color saturation. VERY BRIGHT white lights. The app could use a little improvement, but overall, very great product
