Great product. Bad reviews are from people who refuse to learn.
This is an awesome universal remote, especially for the price. The bad reviews are from people who thought it would be a 60 second set-up, or just refused to learn how it works. It actually has an almost genius way of customizing the controls. This remote has basically no limits on how detailed you want to customize it... You can literally customize every single button to do anything you want. Add in it's ability to replace remotes that use Bluetooth instead of IR signals (like an Amazon Firestick remote) makes it perfect. You can also set any button to be a macro button (one press sends a command to multiple devices). With just the device model number it can be programmed to be that devices remote... and you can then further customize it by changing &/or reassigning any button to a different function. The phone companion app makes the initial set-up & custom programming SO MUCH EASIER!!! It's only downside is it doesn't have the voice control feature of the Amazon Firestick remote. But you can always just use your FS remote for those occasions you need voice control. I replaced 6 remotes with this one (Smart TV, HDMI Receiver, Cable Box, Amazon Firestick, BlueRay/DVD Player, PS5 Media Remote). It took about an hour to completely set-up & fully customize it. The first 30 mins were spent learning how to customize it to it's full capability... That's the part I'm guessing the people who left bad reviews refused to attempt to learn. Sorry, but they were just too lazy to learn how it works & how awesome it can be!!

High quality device, high quality support
Works well with an older Samsung plasma TV, Bose Soundbar, and Apple TV. Programming was quick & easy, including setting up macros to turn all three devices on/off with one button press. I contacted customer service via chat to help me figure out how to make the volume buttons control only the soundbar in all modes. They were fast and delivered accurate, concise directions for exactly that task.

SoFaBaTon U2 Universal Remote: Convenience with a Learning Curve, and some Delays
he SoFaBaTon U2 promises a universal remote control solution for all your entertainment devices. After using it for a while, here's my breakdown:Pros:All-in-one Control: This remote can potentially replace up to 15 remotes, streamlining your coffee table situation.App Customization: The SoFaBaTon app lets you program the remote for your specific devices and create custom macros for one-touch actions (like powering on multiple devices for movie night).Large Database: The remote boasts compatibility with a massive database of devices, making it likely to work with your setup.Learning Option: Even if your device isn't in the database, you can teach the remote the necessary commands from your original remote.Decent Build Quality: The remote feels comfortable in hand with well-built buttons.Cons:Setup Can Be Tricky: Programming the remote, especially with macros, can have a bit of a learning curve. The app instructions could be clearer.Noticeable delays when using this remote. Not sure why but there seems to be an increased delay once clicking a button for a reaction compared to the original remotes. Not All Device Functions Supported: While the remote is compatible with many devices, it might not support every single function from your original remotes.Limited to IR and Bluetooth: The remote doesn't work with Wi-Fi or RF devices, so keep that in mind for your setup.Overall:The SoFaBaTon U2 is a solid option for those seeking a universal remote to control multiple devices. The app customization and macro features are great for streamlining your entertainment experience. However, be prepared to invest some time in setting it up, and be aware that it might not support every single function you're used to.Here are some additional things to consider before buying:Are you comfortable with a bit of technical setup?Do all your devices use infrared (IR) or Bluetooth technology? How important is it to have control over every single function on your original remotes?

Good remote, needs some improvements
Update: Some of the buttons on my remote broke down within a year (stopped clicking and sometimes issues the commands more than once), but Sofabaton's warranty covered it, and the service to fix it was great.Review:I'm mostly happy with this remote, and recommend it only if you really need a universal remote for a budget price, and are willing to deal with some issues. There's just not much else on the market at the moment.Positives:- The remote works properly for my devices, except the Playstation 4/5. I use it to control a TV, receiver, and Google TV. It works exactly as described, and we were able to put away our other remotes.- Programming the remote was very simple using their free app. I actually like how easy it is to program the remote via the app. It works.- The remote body is built very well and feels great. There are 4 issues I have with this remote that I hope they address in their next model.Negatives:- The battery life is very poor. We have to change 2 AA batteries every 1-2 months. Without a backlight, I'm not sure why the battery usage is so inefficient.- The buttons are too loud and clicky. It doesn't seem like a big deal at first, but it's really noticeable when pressing buttons repeatedly (like Volume and Directional buttons).- While it is nice to have a simple remote, it could use just a few extra buttons on the top, like 3 extra buttons, for functions common on most TV/AVR remotes (like Guide).- It is very hard to see the buttons in a dark room, and I find myself using light from a phone to see it. It really needs a backlight and/or buttons with different textures or shapes.Overall, I mostly recommend this remote, but it can use some serious improvements that don't seem too much to ask.
