Very soft, cushy plant
I was struggling with muscular issues, trying to run with my old, inflexible legs. So I searched for some very "cushy" runners that would reduce the strike when running on pavement. NB always fit me well, so I chose these. They worked well, as I have been able to comfortably run 2-4 miles at a time. Can't say how long they will last with such a soft sole, but I suppose that's a tradeoff to live with. I only have a hundred miles on them so far...

Lightweight, comfortable
My son loves these. Super comfortable. These are his daily trainers and his race day shoes. They are super light weight.

Great and Great Looking Athletic Shoes!
Love these! Every 4 or 5 years I manage to find a pair of New Balance shoes in a color/style I love that I can't find locally. They are comfortable for me (I like the increased width) and I've washed them a few times returning the brightness of the "pineapple" yellow and they still look and feel great. Thanks NB, keep up the good work!

Wore for a 1/2 marathon
I recently bought these to wear for a half marathon and for quicker runs. I like the lightness and bounce that the shoe has. Compared to the Fuel Cell Rebel V2, they are a bit more durable looking but a bit less responsive in my opinion. I feel like the Fuel Cell Rebel V2 ran a bit bigger than these, but I still bought them half a size up because they run small! The tongue does bother me a little bit as with the wrong sock, it kind of digs into my ankle .

I think I finally found the right shoe!
I absolutely love these shoes! I've been trying a variety of Asics, Hoka, Altra, Brooks, and Rykas over the past year. Most I either tried on in the store or purchased and wore for a few minutes before returning. Others I thought worked until discovering after a few weeks that they weren't right. I have metatarsalgia and Morton's Neuroma in one foot and have tried the shoes recommended by foot specialists. I need wide shoes for both toe box room and metatarsal comfort not constricting the outer edge of my foot. However, all these shoes resulted in some ball of foot soreness. I do Jazzercise, which involves jogging in place, jumping, lunging, balancing on one foot, and plenty of other footwork. It's important that my weight be placed primarily in the heel and arch to minimize impact to my forefoot. Only the FuelCell Rebel V3s have resulted in zero soreness during and after a class. They are light and springy to boot. When I stand for a long period, I am aware that there is no pressure on the ball of my foot or toes (and why I don't feel pain or soreness). In fact, I had to wear a pair of fancy stage shoes last weekend that hurt my foot. Afterwards, I put on these NBs, and my foot felt better within minutes. I've worn them for the past three weeks and want to purchase another pair. I only intended to wear these shoes to workouts but find myself in them almost daily because my feet feel so dang good.

Leg cramps-no traction on bottom of shoes
Everyone wants cushy float on clouds style shoes. These deliver on this fact. However, from day 1 I've had leg cramps wearing these shoes. I slipped on some wet ground on day 1 (zero traction on shoes) and suffered leg cramps for 2 weeks. Literally had to buy compression socks. I thought my legs were sore from the slip from lack of traction. Fast forward a week and i wore a different pair of shoes and ZERO cramps. Thought it was a fluke, put these shoes back on and cramps were back. Switched to a 3rd pair of shoes and cramps gone. Wore the 3rd pair for 3 days no cramps. Back to these shoes and cramping again.Sadly i needed to return these shoes yesterday. I thought it was today.Needless to say, these shoes since they cannot be returned will be donated on my next salvation army trip so someone else can experience the cramping issue.Do yourself a favor and get a different type of shoe.

I can run with my bum knee!
My knees are a mess, one of them with severe cartilage damage (Grade 4 medial compartment chondromalacia). I’ve had to change my exercise habits, all sorts of modifications, plus I got rid of any shoes that make my knee hurt. I decided to try an entirely different athletic shoe, to see if it would help with my knee pain. These shoes are it! I can actually run in them which I didn’t think I was going to be able to do without a knee replacement.I haven’t had them for long, so I don’t know how durable they are, but running shoes aren’t made to last forever. I’m excited to have a shoe that allows me to be more physically active without pain and would buy another pair.
