Slow reading
Ok if you’ve time to wait for the reading to settle. Would be fine for DIY use but not for tradespeople where time is money.

Back light is geat
Quick delivery and a good price. A great angle finder with magnetic base and a back light when it's in a position that's not so easy to read

Only half the advertised accuracy at 0 and 90 degrees!
The specification advertised on the Amazon web page is suggests that this particular version is significantly better in its accuracy than other units, which is why I decided to pay the extra for this version. Accuracy is very important to me, as is the cost. The reality is that, according to the manual and the specification printed on it (hopefully in the photos attached to this review) this instrument has only half the advertised accuracy at 0 and 90 degrees at +/-0.1 degrees, yet it is advertised as having an accuracy of +/-0,05 degrees. At other angles it is advertised as having +/-0.15 degrees yet, only has +/-0.2 degrees accuracy. The digits on the display are quite clear and there is a blue backlight available although the backlight automatically turns off after about 30 seconds. My only issue with the display is that the degree symbol is very small and rather close to the digits which makes it the least clear and could potentially cause confusion and error with the other display modes offered. The mm/m and in/ft indications on the display are bold and clear. The % symbol, although not in a bold type is separated from the digits and large enough to make it quite visible. With familiarity, it becomes apparent which mode the unit is in from the number of digits and the presence and position of any decimal point. The buttons were easy to feel and an attempt has been made to give them a tactile feel when pushed. The power and 'reference mode' button is red and the other two are grey. The ergonomics make it quite easy to operate by feel. The display also appears to come with a screen protector already applied. There are 'V' grooves on both the top and bottom but only the bottom one has magnets in it. There are two magnets on the bottom and they seem quite strong and effective. The unit feels solid and the build quality appears to be quite good. The battery compartment holding the two AAA batteries is held on with a single crosspoint screw so a suitable screwdriver rather than a coin or similar is required in order to replace the batteries.
