Kobo Clara 2E A more environmentally friendly way to read and hear, E Ink Black

This is to replace my old Kobo, I tend to do this maybe every 3 years and this is my 3rd one. I love the auto adjust room lighting feature so Jo messing around if you're in the sun or indoors. Very easy to use and can carry in any bag as it's not too big and not bulky like a book.

Fantastic e-reader with great battery life and user experience. The screen is very similar to the experience of reading from paper and the reader is set up with good software for organising, grouping and sorting through larger libraries.

Rapidly delivered easy to use , good selection of booksHope it last longer than the others as help system for Kobo is not up to scratchOnline help not useful and ring back was in the early hours of the morning!

Bought to replace my old Kobo Glo, on left in the picture, Clara on right - Glo screen became randomly non responsive to commands (but lasted 10yrs) hope the Clara is as reliable. Similar size, definately faster startup and shutdown, and more features as you would expect with a newer device. WiFi is a lot better, and screen seems sharper, it works well with the 'Callibre' ebook application I use on my PC. Only downside is that there is no SD card expansion slot, but I never really needed that, I can always store books I am not currently reading on my PC in Callibre.

I replaced my old faithful NOOK (which I had for many years ) with this KOBO Clara 2e Sadly my Nook was in my suitcase which got lost at an airport.After lots of researching I decided on the Kobo mainly because I did not want to be tied to an Amazon kindle with its palaver on downloading ePub books. I am delighted with my Kobo, I have added 6 of my epubs already and all looks good. Very simple to use and really lightweight. Would definitely recommend.

I had an 5 years old model of kobo since last week. I decided replace it with a kindle paperwhite. My experience with kindle went terrible as I could not read the document that I copied from a pc. I emailed the document as mentioned in their help. It went badly as well. They converted my original document's font and format to their own. Then some weird characters poped up almost on every page that made the domcument unable to read and unable to understand some times. Long story short I am trully happy to exchanged the kindle with this kobo now. no email, no convert, just copy then start read.

So far I've had this 3 weeks, I originally was going for the Libra 2 but the price had shot up and I had some work vouchers, I choose this as it was more flexible in the formats it supported and did not tie me into the Amazon world.There are plenty of sites where you can find many free books in the epub format if you look, I found ten that I wanted to read and it was a straight drag and drop to load them.I thought the screen would be too small but its fine and weighs next to nothing, I prefer reading in dark mode and have ordered the basic sleep cover from Kobo as I could not find that one on Amazon plus I've noticed Amazon prices creeping up on a few things.So far I am happy with my first foray into e book readers.

Usual kobo quality. Not much more to say. Very pleased.
