Great product.
I love this kit. It gives me plenty of options when trying to fix damage on furniture. With so many different colors to choose from. Which is also good on wood floors as well and their all in one place in a kit & they are really easy to work with. I don't regret buying this kit. It's been a good investment and saved my hide a few times as well. Over the years I've learned to use the waxes much better. It takes time to perfect your game. But take your time and it works great on a lot of different kinds of materials. Thank you & Good luck.

Love this product.
Was at my wits end trying to fill all the surface nail holes in my new wood floor. I have character grade hickory and the color of the wood varies so much that my options were limited. I literally have every color from black to dark brown, light orange to dark red, ivory to light tan. I am no artist so I have no idea what colors mixed with what will make the colors I need. I tried the Minwax wood filler. That stuff is crap. I spent $30 on the Minwax product and filled about 15 holes and NONE of them look right. And since that stuff is soft it will rub off on your socks and you could stain any carpet you may have in the house with it.So I did some research and bought this kit. I have filled maybe 40 holes so far and have been able to match just about all of them perfectly. Note that in many cases this requires the use of more than one color stick on the same hole. No problem - just keep working with then until you get it right. Only about 25% of my holes were able to be covered with only one color. I love that it's a wax product. It will last longer than the other stuff and won't bleed or rub off on your socks so easily. Also I was concerned with these wax sticks not lasting very long, but I think they will be fine for my entire 1000'ft with plenty to spare.1 thing to beware of though and I have no idea how to fix this. The little blending pad they give you will burnish your wood some. I have satin finish on my floors and in the places where I have filled the holes they have been buffed to a gloss-like finish because of the pad. You can only see that in certain light and my holes are all up against the walls so for me it's not a huge deal.A TIP - when you use the scraper to scrape off the extra wax that was laid down - keep the scrapings and use them to bottom fill your next hole if it's of the same color. It will save you a ton of rubbing. The videos and some of the other reviews are accurate in that this product does require a certain level of elbow grease to apply. Using your scrapings as filler greatly reduces this. All in all - I give this product a 5 star rating. I love it and it has made my project much easier. Will recommend to anyone who needs a filler product.

Hard wax kit - good but it is not a soft crayon
The color selection is great. We removed carpet in our family room to find a beautiful oak floor with holes drilled along one edge where there was a metal edge strip. Since it was about 15 holes on one edge we chose to refill rather than refinish the entire 1st floor. The colors in this kit were goid, but the wax is very hard. It is not a crayon. We had to slice off corner bits with a box cutter and stick them into the large holes and build up the wax gradually. The warmth of your hand helps soften the bits of wax when you press into the holes. We used a plastic sponge to scrape off excess wax. It looks pretty good.

Be Artistic
You've got to be a bit artistic with this stuff. My wife and I are doing a ton of remodeling in our home and, as Murphy's Law states, what can go wrong will. I dropped a hammer while doing some work on my vaulted ceiling from about 15 feet up and took a nice size chip out of my Pergo floor. I used a soldering iron to melt the base color into the chip/hole and smoothed it out using the application that was included. I then added a couple of other colors to blend the grain pattern into. It took me a bit of time, 30-45 minutes, to get it right and all the artistic talent I could muster (which ain't much).Wouldn't you know it, I did almost the same thing a second time. This time a took a couple of pictures. I'll say this...There really isn't any other way to fix these types of problems with a free-floating, self-locking floor. I'm not sure how it would work with scratches but with larger chips it worked wonders. Just be prepared to spend some time on the floor making these chips almost invisible. When people come into my home they never notice them and I even forget that they are there sometimes.Side note...The pictures don't do the repair justice. It's almost impossible to see. The repair picture was taken about 4 months after the repair and I had a hard time finding it!A good product with plenty of colors and great way to fix your mishaps!

This is great consumer-grade wax for filling nail holes and small gouges ...
This is great consumer-grade wax for filling nail holes and small gouges in wood. It provides a great deal of variety of colors, and with a little work you can mix them to match the color you need exactly. I used to be a professional carpenter doing high-end kitchen and bath remodeling, and we used to keep this as our backup, emergency use wax. If you are a weekend warrior looking to polish up a project, I wouldn't look any further. Buy this kit, keep it in the garage/shed, and use it on the rest of your projects forever. The only caveat I have is that this wax is very, very hard. If you are a professional, looking for a wax kit to keep on the truck for daily use, I would recommend you spend a little more and get some softer wax. Mixing and color matching can be laborious and time consuming, fine for finishing a shelf at home, not fine when you are trying to complete a job on schedule.A word of caution, this is not intended to be used for large gouges or cracks. If you are trying to fill something wider than 3/16"+ you may run into trouble. This is great for hiding brad nails, awful for filling that 3" gouge you just made in your hardwood floor.Consumer use: 5 StarsProfessional use: 3.5 Stars
