I got one for our 2nd house, loved it, then my son and his girlfriend got one, and they also love it (they use the firmer side). Yes, there is a firm side and a very firm side. If too firm for you, an egg crate mattress on the top would probably resolve any problems. Our mattress at home was showing its age (foam>10 years), so we just purchased another for our main house. I have recommended them to my patients (no guarantee on my part, backs are fickle!). Having a good mattress that is not too old is key to maintaining back health. A non- flippable spring mattress will last 4.5 - 5 years. A good, flippable spring mattress will last 9-10 years. Foam mattresses can last 10+ years (my last one lasted about 10 years). For this price, even if it lasts half as long - still dirt cheap!

I have spent the last ten years trying to find a mattress that actually is comfortable. I tried the super name brand guaranteed models all the way down to the old school mattress and box spring models. Nothing seemed to work. I am a bit pickier then most tend to be as over the last 5 years I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having 2 triple spinal fusions as well as a double neck fusion so comfort is a difficult task but a priority. I picked this mattress out of all the mattresses amazon carrys simply because its advertised as having a hard side as well as a soft side. I figured one had to work. It arrived shrunk and rolled with the tool to slit the plastic open and watch it slowly grow. It's recommended to allow to expand 72 hrs however after about 4 hrs I was already at 12 inches. I quit smoking months ago and have a sharp scent , I noticed very very little scent from this one compared to others. Well I first tried the hard side and it's as advertised it's firm ..if your a back sleeper it might be the choice for you. For me it was not as I just couldn't get comfortable with all the hardware in my back. Soooo I flipped it and tried the soft to medium side. I rarely am at a loss for words but after laying down on this side I was speechless. This mattress is an absolute game changer. Unbelievably comfortable for me. I wish I could describe how it feels but support is second to none ..almost like laying on a huge marshmallow. When you lay on your side what ever this foam is it give amazing support to every nook and cranny of your body. Absolutely everything is supported to the max without sinking into the mattress. I don't know if I have had junk mattresses in the past and this is what a mattress is supposed to feel like? Incredible is an understatement it really is. For everyone that asks what the support is like on the edges ? Well when your spine is bolted together that's a huge worry as putting on shoes is difficult as is. Sitting on the edge of the bed and putting on shoes is as supportive as it gets. I wish I could give more kudos to this manufacturer then a simple Amazon review , yes it's that darn comfortable. To anyone struggling to sleep I can't recommend this mattress enough. It's simply a game changer in all facets of the sleeping time 10000 stars

I bought a queen 2 years ago loved it so much my fave bed. Family member passed away and I ended up with 2 extra dogs and cats so had to upgrade my queen to a king. Sad to say the King did not stand up to the Queen. My queen puffed up to 12inches within the 1st day but I waited the 72hrs per guide. I waited and EXTRA day and a half for the king (4 1/2 DAYS VS 3) and one side only came up to 10inch the other 10 1/2inchs. The top of the sides are all dented in and I cannot wait any long I need sleep too many animals to fit on a queen. I think the beds just too big or it was sitting too long in their warehouse I dont know. Pretty sad the King didnt stand up to the amazing Queen. And sad its not the 12inchs I paid for. Maybe after a few weeks it will puff up more....hopefully.

My husband and I have been sleeping on and putting up with a ridiculously uncomfortable mattress for years. We both have constant back and pain issues, and it finally occurred to me that it was our terrible sleep support. We both work from home and probably spend more time in bed then the average person. I have personally been fighting with a pinched nerve in my neck and shoulder area for the last 3 weeks. So, I began the endless search for the perfect mattress in hopes of solving the constant pain we have had, and a better nights sleep.The mattress was due to arrive in 3 weeks of placing the order, and arrived in 7 days. The Amazon tracking system never updated until it was delivered. I was sooooo surprised & excited to see the box on our porch. The box is extremely heavy and should be carried by (2) people.We opened the mattress packaging in an empty room, and allowed the mattress so rise overnight. It took our specific mattress about 24 hours to reach the full 12". Possibly our kids using it for a trampoline encouraged the process. There were no odd smells, and the mattress was extremely clean.GUYS!!! I am telling you the 100% truth. Once we got the mattress on our bed and we were able to finally try it out. I sat on it for about 15 minutes, and when I got up. I had ZERO neck and shoulder pain. I don't know what is in this miracle mattress. But, I am absolutely convinced it realigned something just by sitting on it. We have opted to start off with the softer side. Like others have said it feels something like a very supportive marshmallow and hugs your body with support. But doesn't suck you in like quick sand! It is still quite firm, super supportive and Im sure will soften up even more with time.I was super nervous to order a mattress I had never seen or felt from a random (to me) company online. I am 110% satisfied with this purchase, and have decided to replace the kids mattresses with the same. I will definitely recommend this mattress to my friends and family, and strongly recommend it to those of you who are searching for the best in quality, solution, and investment. Sweet Dreams!!!
