powerful machine

I used to have a 4* rating on this item.It compacts, powerful and after 2 years, it still works fine.But then the head broke - wheels axel got loose, had to get a replacement.Now here comes the problems due to poor engineering:* First, the head wheels are poorly tied to the axel - why would this part break off in the first place?!* Second, the head is glued to the arm, which mean that finding a compatible part is IMPOSSIBLE* Third, you would expect the manufacturer to offer replacement part for its own brand. No!So here I am, with a working vacuum but a head I can't get replaced.Will I buy Black & Decker again? Hell NO!

I had this for almost a year now, and it's been powerful little monster, to be clear I mainly use it for floors and only have one turkish carpet that's been with me for over 20 years, so much dust was trapped in this carpet in spite of me sending it for cleaning almost 5 times over the past 10 years only... Still the B&D 2000W sucked so much dust I was super impressed from day 1,it's easy to assemble and put up! long enough chord that allows me to clean up one room or two at a time,it's got the widgets to special use but I haven't really used them the main head is good enough for most cleaning purposes and it has two settings.it's also easy to clean just dump the contents of the cannister (be gentle and deliberate as dust can fly all over the place) I check first there's no rings or precious stones for example:) then dump the content mainly dust chunks and powder straight into the toilet, and flush.it says you can wash the filter with water, but I haven't' tried that yet.it's important that you don't leave anything between uses in the cannister as it can fester if there food and humidity you knowI was a bit concerned when reading the reviews that the suction power may go down, but it has not, if you clean both cannister and from time to time the side filter on the left wheel, the suction power is consistent and very good.frequency of cleaning the house is weekly plus or minus.Highly recommended with no hesitation if that's what you're looking for.hope you found this review helpful.

This vaccum is so noisy!!! wouldn't buy it

It is a good product, good suction power. My only issue is short cord which doesn't allow you to move around.I had to buy an extender for the cord, so I can vacuum without changing sockets every 2 min.
