My Journey from Coordination Clown to Slightly Less Coordinated Human.
Okay, so I saw this YMX BOXING Reflex Ball set online and thought, "Hey, that looks like fun! And maybe I'll finally develop the hand-eye coordination of a slightly above-average squirrel!" What arrived was a reality check attached to an elastic string, connected to a headband that makes me look like I'm about to compete in a very aggressive game of headband tennis. The first few minutes were... humbling. The ball had a personal vendetta against my nose. It was less "boxing training" and more "me flailing wildly while a small foam sphere repeatedly assaults my face." My dog was concerned, my cat was utterly unimpressed (as usual), and I'm pretty sure my houseplants were silently judging me. I looked like a one-person circus act gone horribly wrong.BUT! And this is a big BUT. Something magical started to happen. After dodging approximately 73 face-shots, I actually started hitting the ball. Consistently! It felt like a major life achievement. Forget climbing Everest, I was conquering the bouncing menace! This little set is sneaky. You think you're just goofing around, looking ridiculous, but then suddenly your shoulders are burning, your reflexes are kicking in, and you're actually getting a decent cardio workout without even realizing it. It's the most fun I've had being terrible at something in a long time. The set comes with different balls for different skill levels. I started with the beginner ball, which I affectionately named "Pathetic Patty" because she was the only one I could reliably hit. I've since graduated to "Ambitious Annie," and while she still gets the better of me sometimes, the progress is real! Plus, you get two headbands, so you can look equally silly with a friend or significant other. Misery loves company, and apparently, so does looking like a boxing bobblehead. If you want a genuinely fun way to improve your reflexes, get a surprising workout, and provide endless entertainment for anyone watching, buy this. Just be prepared to laugh at yourself. A lot. It's a fantastic, hilarious, and surprisingly effective training tool.Five out of five slightly bruised but happy noses!

This will take a lot of practice.
We gave these as a gift at Christmas so we cannot fully review them. However, we did try them and I think they work pretty much as described. It does take a bit to figure out a proper length for the person that is using them. I wouldn’t suggest using them around a dog because they will grab the ball and destroy it. I think it’s priced well enough to at least try it if this is something that you’re interested in!

I give the YMX Boxing Reflex Set my wholehearted endorsement.
Because of COVID-19, I’ve been stuck at home doing no-equipment bodyweight exercises to stay in shape. I needed some variety in my home workouts so I purchased the YMX Boxing Reflex Ball Set. Since I’m a beginner, there’s no cardio benefit since I’m not moving around. Perhaps when I get more skilled, I’ll be able to move and hit the ball so there’s some cardio involved. There seems to be hundreds of different boxing reflex ball sets on Amazon and eBay, but the YMX offered the most for the same price as the others. Amazon’s 10% off coupon made it an even better price than the others. The YMX Boxing Reflex Ball Set came with two beginner balls and two advance balls with cords attached to each ball; two headbands; four extra cords; and a small carrying bag. For the price that most other vendors charge, the YMX is two complete sets for the price of one.I’ve only had the YMX Boxing Reflex Ball Set for a few days, but in those few days, I’ve found myself using it more and more. With consistent use, I’ve improved so that I can hit (tap) the ball repeatedly for 10-15 seconds. The one important thing is to NOT hit the the ball hard. Instead, use a light tap. You also have to keep your eyes on the ball at all times. It’s also easier to punch down on the ball instead of at shoulder or chest level.YouTube has many tutorial videos on using a boxing reflex ball. It looks easy on YouTube, but if you’re a new user, understand that there is a learning curve and you will struggle. For the price and the enjoyment factor, I give the YMX Boxing Reflex Set my wholehearted endorsement.===== SIX MONTH UPDATE & A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE ADIDAS KNUCKLE PROTECTION ====I’ve been using the YMX Boxing Ultimate Reflex Ball for the past six months. I use it almost daily for 15 minutes. Although the ball is soft, the constant and repetitive impact of the ball on the knuckles makes the knuckles sore. A box glove is too bulky and a hand wrap is too time consuming. I tried using a leather work glove and it worked fine except the elastic cord would sometimes snag on the velcro wrist cinch. Another downside is that the leather work glove is not designed to be worn as a closed fist so my fingers would splay out and the elastic cord would get caught between my fingers. The solution that I found is the “Adidas Knuckle Protection Sleeve / Warp”. I wasn’t sure about the one-size fits all sizing, but I wear a medium glove and the Adidas fits perfectly. The pad thickness is perfect. I can still feel the reflex boxing ball hitting my knuckles, but the padding keeps the knuckles from getting sore. The design of the Adidas Knuckle Protection also makes it easier and more comfortable to maintain a closed fist for a long period of time. The “Adidas Knuckle Protection Sleeve / Warp” might not be suitable for punching a heavy bag, but if you need protection for light punching, this is perfect. The ease of putting it on and taking it off the hands is another advantage over boxing gloves and hand wraps.

Fun for all Not adjustable for all
Think of the old school punching balloon with the giant rubber band. That is exactly what this is but better. Fully adjustable with no flat tires. Only real issue is the adjustments are not well thought out at all. It's a string and an eye loop.Current expectation of customer: measure string and cut once (fully adjusted for single person use).

Great family fun
Ordered this for my family & we rec'd it yesterday. We had the most fun (and exercise). It's addictive. We had a hard time hitting the ball because we were laughing so hard. Cheapest fun we could ever have & safe at home!

Awesome and fun!
I bought these for my son's 12th birthday and he loves them! He enjoys playing with it outside and my daughter who is 10 is always interested in trying to play too. It's a bit harder for her but she's learned. We all try to see how many times we can hit it in a row. There are different balls to use. There is a training ball for when you start then a advanced and finally professional. I don't know the difference between them except for their colors. It's pretty hard to learn at first then you get the hang of it! Five stars!
