Great for course work
I wouldn’t have bought this for pleasure reading on the beach. It was assigned for a graduate course. Easy to read and not too boring. Wasn’t something I would recommend though.

Important Read
THIS is the important work to improve student outcomes... focus, clarity and digging deep on what matters most. This is a terrific blend of research and practice.

The book wasn’t exactly what I was looking for.
Not quite what I was looking for for curriculum design.

Only for essentialists
If you subscribe to essentialist philosophies of education (you worship standardized tests and fetishize data) then this book is for you. If you lean progressive or reconstructionist, keep looking. Ainsworth believes the purpose of education is to have high test scores.
