Great book for parents who really want to help their children grow and reach their full potential
Great book for nurturing creativity and success at an early age. I have three children who are natural artists like their Father and we really want to help them reach their full potential. This workbook along with the main book is a good book to have in your collection. My oldest son has many homework struggles and there is practical advice and activities for making real change in this area and many other areas. The cartoons and graphs make the workbook more entertaining and functional. This a good tool for any parent. Books like this are important, but don't forget to make nutrition the cornerstone of everything. Children need DHA from fish oils and healthy food. I hope this review helps.

Authoritative and helpful
We have struggled with boy-girl twins who have gone through some rough patches. Like for example our preschool calling us in (TODAY!) for a parent teacher conference and letting us know that our kids were among the most difficult in the grade. Our kids are not easy / typical and the offhand advice of friends and family were not working for us. The school recommended this book and it has been transformative for us and for our kids. Highly recommended.

Useful for teaching parents
The book is helpful and an easy read. It doesn't have a bunch of one-page interventions/handouts like I was hoping (it is usually multiple pages but at least there are great descriptions to explain to people who haven't been TBRI trained). I am taking away a star because the packaging was NOT waterproof. It was delivered in a cardboard box without a bag seal. It was raining heavily and the cardboard was soaked. Thankfully I got home in time so there was only a little bit of water damage (wiggly pages). None of the ink was blurred and none of the pages were stuck together. Because of that, I'm going to keep the book and continue to utilize it in my therapy practice.

Helping Me Become A Better Parent
This is so great because I'm working to understand my child and also my own strategy (or lack of strategy) as a mother. I'm a single mom and I grew up with distant parents so I need all the help I can get. This book has already provided me with the opportunity to bend down at my child's level (instead of tower over her) and be more patient with my 3 yo. The writing in it takes some time but it's worth it. It's made a lasting impression on me and I'm only 20 pages in!

Excellent insight
This is so helpful. It forces me to really dig deep and put things into words, into an order which let's me be more mindful and gives me more resources to pull from in the stressful moments. I feel that my daughter's behavior has improved from the change in my approach and she is able to calm herself faster and easier, which relieves my stress and improves our relationship overall. I paired this Brene Brown Gifts of imperfect parenting class, but that is no longer available for purchase.
