I rarely write reviews, but I’m impressed with this device and concept enough to post. We have had the dual unit (Queen size) for about two months. My wife has been suffering hot flashes and this has been a godsend for her. Without overly delving into the technical aspect in essence it functions like a miniature heat pump. It circulates water underneath your body and either extracts heat (when in cooling mode) or extracts cold (when in heating mode) – the water is then circulated to the machine that can either cool or heat the water just like your home heat pump does to freon. The remote control works very well. When we retire to the bedroom for the evening we hit the “On” button on the remote and set the run time to 10 hours. While we are getting ready for bed the machine cools/heats the mattress surface and about 5 minutes later it is at the desired temperature. Ten hours later it shuts off (run time is adjustable from constant on, down to a couple of hours). My wife and I are now sleeping through the night – at our on optimum sleep temperature. In my opinion the device does not make excessive noise. There is a fan in the control unit that discharges the heat (when in cooling mode or vice versa) and the sound is akin to a white noise machine. If you are bothered by the sound of a small fan, then you can purchase extension hoses from the manufacturer to place the unit further away from your ears. Personally, we like having a small fan on as it tends to mask other ambient noises. The capillary tubes in the mattress pad are unnoticeable by us (just a fitted sheet over) do not feel any bumps or ridges – just the bliss of a chilled or heated bed sheet. The one “negative” if you want to call it that, is the aesthetics of the set-up. While the machine controller is relatively small – it eats up a fair amount of real estate on our respective night stands. I plan to purchase the extension tubes from the manufacturer to extend the controller a bit to its own stand beside our existing night stand, that way the only thing on our night stand is the small remote which we keep in the night stand drawer. Keep in mind, just like your outside heat pump – the controller needs airflow to work so don’t enclose it where it can not exchange heat with the ambient air in the room – if you do then it will not be as efficient and may shut down to the inability to exchange heat/cool with the surrounding air. To note: I have received nothing from the manufacturer for this review – just doing my part to help consumers like myself out. Also, I have not tried other similar devices like the Chilipad. I will say though that I selected this over the Chilipad primarily over price, knowing I could return it via Amazon. It works very well for us – gets plenty cold for us so we are very happy with the purchase (I am convinced my wife would return me before returning this thing)

I do not believe current ownership invented this product. The same model was sold years ago under a different brand name: Chili/PAD. See pictures attached. It's the older model of the current chilipad which was discontinued. I actually purchased this model back in 2013/2014. Also, they have only ONE person managing customer service - Henry, who is the President. In my opinion, this is a complete joke.The unit worked for about one month and then suddenly stopped working to cool my bed. Woke up one night and noticed condensation throughout the pad. Upon further inspection, it was discovered that MOLD developed on the pad around the connector area, the upper part of the tubing, and part of my fitted sheet around this area. It seems to me that the pad or tubing leaked and created this situation. It has not worked since.Do not buy this product. I purchased this exact unit from Brookstone under a different brand name in 2014. I believe it was called Chilipad. That unit actually worked for quite some time. Not sure what this company, Perfect Sleep Pad is all about as it seems to be the same technology as Chilisleep. So this particular type/configuration has been around since 2014 or earlier.I decided to not even try with Customer Service based on the reviews here and what I have read online. I will most likely try the newer Chilisleep model. That seems to be a real company. I am still skeptical of this situation due to the fact that this particular technology has patents, so why is there a company using the same tech only under a different company name, Perfect Sleep Pad??? Very disappointed as this was a larger purchase and it failed quickly. Do not buy - period.

Great seller and quality product. I both love and hate this product.I hate that I can't get it to cool as advertised but what it does do, it does well. If there is a way to get it to cool below 64 degrees, I haven't found it. When getting into bed, 64 degrees feels cool. But, in a short while, you can't tell that you are laying on a cool pad, I'm bedridden and live in Florida. My home A/C is set to 75 degrees but in Florida, with the humidity, that is still hot. I was hoping to use it on a full time basis in order to stay more comfortable in bed. I have a Sleep Number bed and adjustable frame and thought this would be perfect to round it out. It is costly, but I figure you can't get this kind of technology without spending some money.I love the idea and the design of the product. It's quiet while running and it looks like the high quality piece of equipment that it is. The concept is great but there is no way that I can tell to get it to cool more. I'm sure part of this problem is that I'm in the bed for about 20 hours a day and my body heat transfers to the sleep pad instead of the sleep pad transferring the cool to my body. If turned on and covered while I'm out of bed, it is like getting into bed on a cool winter night and that is great. Just can't maintain anything like that throughout the night. I'm gonna keep my eyes and ears open about the Perfect Sleep Pad and try to stay on top of any improvements and take advantage of them.

Love it, simply love it! Wish it had a programable timer to warm you up as the night goes on. One can easily over look that though because it does get your bed so cold that you can’t sleep on it! I thought that 8 degrees Celsius would be awesome…I set mine to 15-18 during the summer and the bed is ready for sleep time! Both units only took just under a Litre each to fill with a super easy setup! Wish I would have known about this sooner! A must buy for those who sleep hot or cold!

The cooling pad worked ok but I was not satisfied as it didn't keep me cool enough. This product was 30 day full money back guarantee if not satisfied. I had to contact my credit card company to get my refund as they refused my request. In the end I did receive my refund. Shouldn't have to go through so much trouble returning when not satisfied.

Just add water and plug it in, then check the water window every 3 days to top off. It is a quality product, our twin fit perfectly on our mattress on my wifes adjustable electric bed. We put our mattress pad on top of the Perfect sleep pad and have not had any comfort problems.

The pad is very comfortable. But the cooling power is not adequate.

The product performed as they said it would and per their promise, if it did not solve the problem I was having I could return it within 60 days for a refund. To date, all I have receive is e-mails to the effect: "I will look into this ASAP". This has gone on for 5 months now. I still have not seen a cent of my refund. So now I am out the $565.00 I paid for the product plus the $111.00 I paid to ship it back to them. Highly Unsatisfactory!
