Get Movies
It was gift for s my brother. He was thrilled to recieve them. He loved the cowboys who did not sing. I never knew he didn't like singing cowboys. He never said why. We used to go see all Gene Autry's movies when we were growing up. I'm glad you had a movie set that he enjoyed.

Entertaining
I love old movies. The older the better. I also prefer to own, rather than to stream. Yes, the sound quality, and the picture quality, can be poor as compared to current standards, but if you know about the history of the equipment used to create the film; the fragile type of the film itself; the condition in which they were likely stored; and the quality of speakers and recording equipment which were used at the time; then you will not be bothered by the poor sound/picture quality at all. You will simply feel that the poor sound quality is a normal part of the viewing experience. It is completely unfair to judge an antique by modern standards. Instead, focus on the story, the filming techniques, the costumes, the furnishings, the architecture, the dialog, and the historical social significance of the film.It is also completely unfair to judge the past by present values. Are there offensive bits in old films which would never be tolerated today? Most probably, but why be offended when you can just as easily choose to understand how far we have come? In some respects we have come far, socially. In other respects, we have seriously digressed. I also like to see the contrast in the ways society has devolved as compared to the time in which they made these old films. Why bother watching historical films, if you don’t learn from them?PROS:Condition as expected. I enjoyed it.CONS:As in most antique media: Contents are sometimes in random order. Often menus don’t work. Usually you have to resize the aspect at which they are played. I consider these all to be a “normal” part of the experience.COMPS:As compared to modern films, adjust your level of expectation. When you approach them in this way, you will not be disappointed.VERDICT:Met or exceeded my expectations. Good/great value for money.I hope you found this information helpful. Have a great day! ~Savvy Shopper

Very Disappointed
I purchased this set for my husband who is an avid western fan. If it has horses, guns, and cowboys he is normally pretty happy with it. When we got the movies we noticed that we had duplicate dvd's and that some were missing. We received 2 of disc 10 and 2 of disc 6. which means that we are missing disc 1 and disc 8 in the set.One of the dvd's when I put it in the player all it says is disc error and it cannot be read on either side. It happens to be a disc that has five movies on the one disc. One of the movies when it was re-recorded onto the dvd stops in the middle of the movie and begins back at the beginning.I expected the movies to be in black and white, this wasn't a surprise. So many people put in their reviews that is an issue. If you have movies made in the 30's and 40's they are going to be in black and white. For the price, we still got a good array of movies, quality leaves something to be desired and of course the missed dvd's didnt make my husband very happy. So for this one I would say purchase at your own risk. You never know what you will be getting.

5 Stars for value and content!!
This collection is well worth the price paid. I haven't viewed all the titles, but those I have are great. As for those who complain about the "quality" of some of these flics, I guess it all depends on how you define "quality". These are old films and you can't expect them to stand up to the picture quality of more current films. If you define "quality" as good old fashion, wholesome, family entertainment, when there were "good guys" and "bad guys", and morality, then they far surpass the trash put out from the 70's and on. I plan to buy more of these 50 movie packs and would recommend you do the same.

Excellent Choice for Any Western Buff
I bought this set for my boyfriend for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. With over 200 movies, there is something for everyone and a movie for almost every day of the year! The quality of all of the movies is excellent, and it is so much fun to watch movies from the old West, in addition to more recent movies. I would highly recommend this set to anyone, especially those folks who enjoy western movies.

I haven't had time to watch all these as yet ...
I haven't had time to watch all these as yet but recognize a lot of them that I had seen long ago and am looking forward to watching the rest of them.

Great. Very happy.
Paid 1 cent plus shipping. Very happy with my purchase.I love these 50 movie packs from Mill Creek.Lots of crap, couple of snoozer's, and a few greats.Like cheap movies in large quantities this is for you. Only criticism is that the movies are cropped full screen and it looks ugly. But you get what you paid for lol.
