You Need This for College Move In!
These IKEA bags are fantastic for college move in and out! They hold tons!!! For example, it was easy to fit an XL twin comforter, mattress cover, 2 sheets sets, pillow, 3 small decorative pillows and few sets of bath towels and wash cloths in one bag. (But be careful, if way, way, way over packed they will tear at the seams and straps. Like if it feels completely too heavy to pick up.) A great feature is that you can haul them like you’re wearing a backpack, if you want. They can also be easily carried over the shoulder. Once filled, they hold their rectangular shape and can be stacked easily. When you’re unpacked, fold them up into one bag and slide it under the bed. IKEA bags were recommended to me by a few friends and I am thrilled that they work so well! For families of soon to be college freshman, I recommend 4 -5 bags. But that also depends on your stuff.

Works great with airlines
Purchased these to ship college items via airplane. Transported easily and hand plenty of storage for clothing, dorm room items. Used on Southwest Airlines and didn't even come close to the 50lb weight limit for each bag. They store well and can be folded and placed in a drawer for later use. Very satisfied with the purchase. Also, the straps held up extremely well. No tears and no rips in the zipper (even when stretched).

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Great for seasonal storage and traveling. One of these bags can hold one body pillow and one large bed pillow. It can hold 3-4 regular size pillows (great for traveling).Easily used as a garment bag. Hang all your clothes up, shimmy the bag up the back of the hung clothes stuffing the clothes inside the bag at the bottom and zip it up to the top. I secure the hanger hooks together with a velcro strap I got from Walmart (in the electronic section, also used to sintch electrical cords together).Makes a good gym bag as it can be cleaned out and disinfected easily. If your a swimmer it will hold your wet items (suit, towels, ect) well. Can be stacked easily on top of each other.

Used it to transport backpack
These bags work very well for checking your backpack (mine is 50L) on airplanes. If your pack is over 50L and it's fairly full, you might have some problems fitting it in, but you could always use two bags. One downside is that if you have a good amount of weight in the bag (I had a full backpack for a thru hike), it's very hard to carry the bag unless you use the straps like a backpack. I did that and then discovered the straps were starting to tear away and there were holes in the Ikea bag. That was very worrisome. The next time I used the Ikea bag, I tried to be a little more careful.

Functional and roomy
Sturdy, and I love that you can use it like a backpack. I got them for my daughter to use for cheer camp. I fit a twin comforter set and pillow, and still had room in the one she took. These are the best for being in a dorm because you can fold it away and it’s as big as a spiral notebook. Can’t say that about a suitcase.
