This is a replacement of an old version of this make, works perfectly and is accurate. Great price too, no need to spend more this scale does the job well.

Making yet another attempt to 'get a bit fitter', and not having any bathroom scales in the house for a few years, I was looking to get a decent set that lasted longer than the old cheap and not very cheerful ones at a fair price.I have just also recently brought a Fitbit, so probably like a lot of men am very interested in geeking out on the data to add an extra incentive to the new regime. That though would require something that recorded more than my not insubstantial weight alone, and I was after the functionality of body fat readings ect.So when I started looking round I was bombarded with lots of options for smart scales that send all the data to your phone or computer, all have their own apps to clutter your phone up and probably have an option to blend you a kale smoothie if you ask it nicely enough. But boy, do they cost.So I was rather pleased when I found this. All the big numbers without the unneeded (for me) extras. Nothing wrong with spending a few seconds with a bit of paper and a spreadsheet to keep track later, if it saves upward of £50 to £100.It's a well built bit of kit, but sleek and sexy as far as scales can be, that looks very neat next to the other glass and chrome in my bathroom. The set up is pretty easy, and once I put my basic details in (age, height, sex) I was good to go.After you step off, the scales are polite enough to cycle through the data a couple of times so you can write stuff down if needed (as I do). All round, does the business for a very reasonable price. The fifteen year guarantee on the box shows that Salter are confident enough and happy to put their reputation on the line.Two small-ish points that caused a loss of one star: 1. On carpet the scale is way out, making me thirty pounds lighter, and affecting the other calculations too as a result. Flattering at first, but not helpful in the long run! May be me doing something wrong, but I'm stumped as to what it is if it is me. 2. The extra feet attachments for use on carpeted surfaces are very tight, so when they are on, they are staying on. My attempt to remove one resulted in taking the whole foot off, so that had to be carefully replaced as not to have a set of broken scales on my hands.So I have the scales on a hard surface in the bathroom with the carpet feet on, which doesn't sound right but makes no practical difference. It may be an improvement as the scales stand a tad higher and I can actually operate the buttons (on the right side of the unit) with my big toe! Which is easier than currently bending over my middle aged man belly to reach them.... for now.

The scales are easy to use and look good, they are very slim for storage. Good value for money.

Bough as a gift for mother in law as her last lot were inaccurate. These are perfect and very well made. Can't go wrong with these. Very accurate too.

Use these scales most day, provides plenty of information but my one complaint is that if you stand on them twice they give different readings, only 2 or 3 pounds but that is either to put a scowl or smile on your face depending on which reading you believe!

Need to read the instructions because there are a lot of functions in these scales.

This scale is extremely detailed and accurate and ai highly recommend it.

Beste Personenwaage, die ich bisher benutzt habe.Spricht sehr schnell an. Misst sehr genau (50 Gramm Schritte). Gibt klare und nachvollziehbare Messergebnisse. Ist unkompliziert zu bedienen. Im Design unauffällig und ansprechend.So zufrieden war ich bisher mit keiner Waage und ich konnte viele in der Familie oder auf Reisen testen. Mir war die Firma Saiter zuvor kein Begriff. Jetzt ist sie ganz oben bei mir auf der Liste. Allerdings hoffe ich, dass das Gerät lange hält.

Nunca había usado una de este tipo, anteriormente estaba usando una báscula que solo pesaba, pero esta bascula hace mucho más.La báscula tiene memoria hasta 12 usuarios, en casa somos 4 y cada uno tenemos nuestro perfil ya definido. Cada usuario podrá definir, su sexo, altura, edad y estado atlético, con estos datos te calculará además tu grasa corporal, tu masa muscular y el agua de tu cuerpo, también te calcula el metabolismo basal con la cantidad de calorías que deberías consumir.El uso es muy sencillo, se programa cada usuario mediante los botones del lateral de la báscula, primero te pide definir el sexo, después la edad y por último la altura. Luego ya es como cualquier báscula, te subes y te pesa, eso sí tienes que tener en cuenta subir con el pie desnudo y pisar las zonas plateadas de la báscula para que pueda hacer bien las mediciones. Primero te pesa y luego comienza a medir, con una flechita te indicará lo que te está midiendo que se corresponde con los dibujitos de abajo en la báscula, después del peso mide la grasa corporal, después el agua, la masa muscular y tu BMI (Indice de masa corporal) y finalmente tu BMR (Metabolismo basal) que te indica la cantidad de calorías que tu cuerpo necesita. También tiene un modo niño y modo atleta.La superficie de la báscula es de cristal, funciona con una pila de botón de 3V CR2032. También lleva unos suplementos para poner en las patas en caso de usar en una zona con alfombra o moqueta. Pesa en fracciones de 50 gr. hasta un máximo de 180 kg.El precio me parece fantástico, ya que es un poco más alto del que pague por mi báscula actual que solo pesa.
