The Twentieth-Century World and Beyond: An International History since 1900 6th Edition

This is a period of time that gets breezed over in most history classes. A class may discuss one nation in the 20th century, but fails to show how their actions force other nations to respond in kind. Keylor uses some big words, but his his make at showing how nations in the 20th century were interlinked. The prologue does a great job setting the scene leading from the 19th century into the First World War.

I used this for my Intro to American Studies course at UMass Boston. Several of my professors contributed to the edition I used and it provided an excellent introduction to American Studies and the foundations and history of the American 20th Century, as the title states.

Keylor seems to have an unreasonable amount of bias toward many of historical examinations. I would rather a writer stick to the facts and if an argument is to be made, then please provide me a opposing view. Luckily our professor provided The Long Fuse by Lafore to explain the events leading up to World T

This was my first time buying a book online. I loved the fact that it was significantly cheaper than i could find almost anywhere else. It did take a bit to receive the book though, but the book was in the condition described and i was pleased.

Bought this for one of my History modules and I have to admit, very concise yet detailed and excellent writing style. Only improvement could have been the actual content as I believe a lot of info on important info on the Indian struggle for independence had been left out due to emphasis on Cold War.

I bought the 'used' version of the textbook through amazon described as 'good' condition. It was perfect condition besides some pencil underlines, and arrived less than 24 hours after order , free of delivery fees. The textbook is easy to follow and does a very good job of summarizing and explaining complicated historical events.
