Custom German License Plate Flag + Eagle (Custom Plate)

I’ve given this 4 stars not 5 only because of installation. The plastic bracket it comes with is...plastic. And while you only see the black edge, looks like plastic. But that’s not the issue.The print is perfect (actually embossed); exactly as ordered, including stickers (two were added at no extra cost). Arrived quickly.But, this is for a VW Jetta, that has a “bowed” or curved (not straight) front.I was going to mount this myself until I looked at the bracket and the grill. The tag/plate is flat. The grill is not. YouTube “producers” suggest bending the tag/plate. I did not want to do that.While in for service, my mechanic told me it can’t be mounted over air intake on grill; it would seriously impede airflow. He tried to get a curved bracket online to mount it higher (into trim above grill) but it was difficult to find except from the VW dealer $$$$$; when he finally found one online, the seller (not this one) messed up the order, repeatedly sending straight/flat ones.At another shop, a second mechanic said mounting on the grill would be no problem (he laughed at the suggestion the airflow would be reduced to a degree it mattered, unless I was racing at Nürburgring) but instead of drilling into the trim above the grill as the first mechanic was going to,he negotiated a reasonable price with a VW dealerto get an actual VW curved tag/plate mount (His shop does 90% German car repair). However, the VW dealer also sent the flat instead of curved mount!I’m beginning to think maybe there’s a market for selling curved brackets. Why doesn’t VW include one when you buy the car?The tag/plate might wind up on the wall instead of on the car. But it looks great.One thing I think they should include or sell is a thin acrylic “shield”/panel to go over the tag/plate.I’d hate to see such a nice tag/plate dinged up by road wear. With the amount of time I apparently have to wait... I might just cut one myself!

The mounting bracket had to be modified to work on my BMW i3, which is why install is getting only 3 stars, but overall the mount and plate are sturdy. Get lots of complements even though it’s a bastardized German!
