As a cat lover, I enjoy stories not only from people I meet but also books!I admit that I stopped reading ‘chicken soup....’ books because there are just SO SO MANY!!!! I got burned out!I found a discount on this one and noticed a slew of other chicken soup Cat Books! I sorta rolled my eyes inside but decided this one will give me something relaxing to read...I’m not currently owned by any felines but have had a number over the years... even temporary visitors!I think this book requires having a cat or experience with them because some stories seem over the top but I did not see it like thatI ENJOYED this book SO much that I would share summaries of stories and laughed out loud in public seeing the antics in my head being described!!I loved that the stories were short and rarely sad!Now, I want to read a few more Chicken Soup cat books..It’s definitely the CATS MEOW and brings up many memories of our own feline friends/encounters of the past and present!So bottom line, one chapter of writing this convey latter, this book is Purrrrfect!

I just recently finished the Chicken Soup for the Soul book What I Learned from my Dog. I thought that there was probably no way that a book on cats could match a book on dogs. My tear ducts got an incredible workout when I read the dog stories. But I was pleasantly surprised. Many of these stories were amusing, cute, or amazing, but many of them were absolutely soul-stirring, heartwarming, and inspirational beyond belief. I cried a lot! Some of these cats save their owners and homes from death and destruction, keep company and offer TLC to the disabled, the grieving, and the ill, and do things that have always been thought of as out of character for our feline friends--a father cat who becomes mother and father to his children after their mother is killed in an accident or cats who become loving companions of dogs, to name two examples. These stories are very typical of the Chicken Soup series--they are so comforting. I'm at the tail-end of a month-long chest cold. For me, they were more therapeutic than a bowl of chicken soup.

Arrived soon, in good shape. No signs of wear or tear. Very happy to give it to a shut in friend.

Whether you like cats or not, the stories contained in this book will give you numerous emotional responses. Some stories will have you laughing in disbelief, others will bring sentimental tears to your eyes. The stories are well written, entertaining, and if you don't know cats, it'll give you a new perspective about them. My wife read the book for herself, then she read sections of it to me, She even bought a copy for my step-mother. We have all thoroughly enjoyed the stories. Most of the stories are also good for you to read to your children.

Although sure to please the ardent cat lover, this little book, which is filled with brief anecdotes of various cat antics, is not for everyone, not even every cat lover. While charming in its way, it is also just a bit silly and is, occasionally, unbelieveable, in that it tries too hard to be clever, and some of the stories seem to be the product of the some authors imaginations. The best stories (in my humble opinion) were those that appeared to be based on fact.The author inserted cat cartoons at the beginning of each chapter, and these were very appealing; very believable.

My mom doesn’t seemed to be wowed by the stories like some of the other reviewers stated however, she says she enjoys it and they are amusing.

I love Chicken Sour for the Soul books and this was is a great book just like all the others. I especially like this one as it is about cats. Easy reading as they are short stories. If you are a cat lover, you will thoroughly enjoy this book.
