I used this "dead front GFCI" to meet 2014 NEC code for being both GFCI and AFCI on a new circuit run into the kitchen. I used a readily available AFCI breaker at the panel and this product mounted in a convenient/accessible location in the basement along the wire run (in its own J-box) to get full protection (i.e. meet code) to the new dishwasher circuit. I put a 20 amp test load on the circuit prior to connecting the dishwasher and it held like a champ. Combo AFCI/GFCI breakers do exist but I had an extra AFCI breaker on hand and the rest is history.

worked just as they should. needed to relocate GFIs from under whirlpool tub as requested by inspector. These got the job done.
