I will admit I have never seen a Bible quite like this. A devotional leads off a set of chapters in the Bible, you read through the Bible in a year. Each set of chapters is headed with a devotional from Paul David Tripp, best known as the author of the New Morning Mercies devotionals. The devotionals are in that style, personal as they relate to the scripture in consideration. They are written from an evangelical perspective. I haven't noticed anything out of line, they are pretty straightforward. The Biblical text is in double column and the devotional is a single column, which helps separate the two. A set of essays at the end address some timely topics, but there is a limited amount of study helps. This is not a study Bible if you are seeking that. A devotional Bible is an accurate description. The Bible itself has thin pages with gilt edges, has a very nice cover in chestnut TruTone, and comes in a sturdy slipcase. Unlike many study Bibles which are too large to carry as a church day Bible, this one is more reasonable and could be used as such. I think this would make a nice gift for many occasions, with a graduation a particularly good time.

This has been an excellent tool for my own bible study. Paul David Tripp’s commentary is very helpful to me personally and makes each book of the Bible easier to digest. I did notice a mistake in the intro at the very beginning (see photo) but hopefully I won’t find more as I continue to read through this devotional. Also this is not a red letter bible but I know that’s mostly a personal preference for readers and not really necessary. Cover is nicely made and it comes with a sturdy dust cover/box to keep it protected. Overall a nice daily devotional that I personally would recommend to both young and seasoned Christians.

I really enjoy this ESV! It's easy to understand, read, and made with great quality! I think the cover is absolutely beautiful and it feels so nice. The binding is really well done, making it sturdy and durable, and the pages are thin. Also, the text is easy to read.I use it to highlight devotionals and for my studies. There are many devotionals included in this ESV Bible, and I like to mark the ones that resonate with me so that I can revisit them for further studying in my Bible.I also like that it comes in a nice slipcase to keep the Bible protected. This would make a great gift! I'm super happy with this purchase!

The ESV Everyday Gospel Bible: Connecting Scripture to All of Life is a handsome and well made Bible. The cover is faux leather, but appears durable for daily use. The paper is fine and thin, edged with gold-leaf, and the font is a comfortable size for most. The English Standard Version is an easy to read translation, and the devotional comments by Paul David Tripp interspersed in the body of this Bible may add insight to understand and apply God’s Word. This Bible would make a good gift for anyone interested in reading the Bible with the benefits of a built-in devotional. I plan to use and study this Bible for a year, then pass it on to share with someone else.

This is a nice devotional Bible. It measures 6 by 9 inches in size and is almost 2 inches thick. The Bible comes in a protective cardboard case. I like that, except my Bible stuck in the corner due to maybe the glue on the box? I am not sure, but damage was minimal and it wasn't a big issue for me. I took a star off for this in case it is an issue for others and you are giving it as a gift.It is not a red-letter Bible. There are two ribbon markers sewn into the spine. The pages are thin but have beautiful gold edges.The cover is nicely done and flexible/comfortable to hold. Along with the Scripture, each day includes a reading written by Tripp and a prayer.The Bible has a devotional and a reading for each day of the year by Paul David Tripp, who is well known for his devotional book, New Morning Mercies.This Bible would make a nice gift for the right person.I received a copy of this Bible from the publisher through the Amazon vine program.
