Dylon Colour Detergent (30 Wash Loads), Liquid Laundry Detergent for all Coloured Clothes, Colour Washing Detergent to Revitalise Colours and renewing in every wash with optimal results in 10 washes

These Dylon detergents are, according to Henkel in an article on a grocery industry website, just rebranded versions of their Persil and similarly named detergents sold in Europe and The Middle East. They obviously can't use a name that sounds remotely anything like Persil in the UK, due to Unilever holding the trademark since 1931 here. Having used this in Spain last year labelled as Henkel's Perlan [Spanish Persil] brand I can confirm it is indeed exactly the same product. It also appears to be the same as Henkel's Persil abaya shampoo sold in the Middle East, though sadly this Dylon version isn't also available in Oud fragrance (they are missing a trick there).This works as claimed, though I would say that the Woolite equivalent has a slight edge for most black clothes as it can turn some cheaper black clothes which aren't quite truly black, jet black. Then again the Woolite one has an awful smell and works out as very expensive, also the Woolite one has small amounts of indigo purple dye in which can turn some synthetic black fabrics a weird shade of navy over time. So this Dylon detergent is a safer option as it doesn't appear to contain any dye and it smells much nicer too which is a bonus.Edited to update: this formulation appears to have been updated since when I used it last year and is now slightly purple so it may have dye or pigment added, so it does restore clothes to jet black and makes cheaper not quite black, black clothes truly black as well. I will see if over time it makes them blueish, but so far it hasn't. It also smells really nice and you really do only need to use the dosage specified on the bottle for it to wash well, unlike so many other detergents these days.

I know and trust the Dylon brand for dyeing products so I was keen to try thisLarge bottle only small dose needed - excellent non dribble lid design and scent is pleasant; nice when dry.I washed a black jacket and some dark t shirts on 30. I use various brand color tabs routinely so I didn't expect drastic results; but the difference after one wash was very impressive. I did a load with more faded clothes and held the wash cycle once all clothes were wet for an hour and it gave amazing results. It really does Revive fabric and colour. Also purchased the color one and it didn't disappoint on an old jumper which cane out with noticeable less Pilling. I discovered laundry TABS available and I will definitely be continuing to use both color and black to maintain it really works! I hope they launch one for whites. Highly recommend 👌

Having Used Dylon to colour fabrics we had high hopes for this product.Having located a pair of stone washed black jeans and a pair of black joggers that had started to bobble with white bits on the ends of the bobbling i proceed to give this liquid a go. the first thing you notice is the aroma, now while not really a strong aroma it does smell pleasant so will have to wait and see how much of this aroma lasts beyond the washing and air drying, but first impressions straight out of the washer are good.After putting the pants in a near 2 hour wash (way longer than a normal 39 min wash that we would use) the pants came out smelling fresh. However after putting in double of the detergent that was needed i can say this has not made a difference to the colour of either of the garments tested on.Now apart from the different fresh smell this seems a bit of a plot of a product, it has not changed the colour 1 bit so can not say i value this as a product at all at this price.Unfortunately this to me is a standard detergent trying to elevate itself as a kind of mild die product so can not say it does a good job at all and is itself already in a crowded field of established trusted other brands.

Used for the first time today and the scent is gorgeous, mild hints of floral with sophisticated spice is the best way I can describe it. not sweet and not overpowering, really unique and fresh. and my clothes were super clean, soft and vibrant on 30 degree wash. Will buy again during another promotional sale. definitely recommend that you give this a try. I keep sniffing the cushion I washed as it smells incredible!

I used particular laundry detergents for whites to keep them bright and white, and those for colours to keep them vibrant and colourful, but I had never thought of giving our dark and black colour fabric a special care to prevent them fading. Thanks Dylon Black & Dark Detergent for making me realize that.Dylon Black & Dark Detergent is a liquid detergent that contains 97% biodegradable ingredients and is designed to protect the color intensity of dark clothes. I only used this product twice on our dark clothes so it is still an early stage to comment its effect at colour maintaining.It is said that this type of products tend to have less cleaning power because stain removing agents are reduced. I was not sure about this either because my dirty laundry were not heavily stained or soiled. Clothes came out feeling clean and smelling fresh.Shall I continue to use this product when I finish this bottle? It depends on whether it does what it says about colour protection effect.

Can see effects of renewal after just 2 washes. Smells great!
