Beautiful Journaling Bible
I really like this Bible. It has a beautiful cover and the pages aren’t too thin. The font is big enough that I don’t have to wear my glasses, but the spacing in between is too small, so it’s a little hard to read paragraphs. Wish Jesus’ words are written in red. Overall, it’s a great Bible, perfect for journaling and immersing in God’s Words.

Pleasure to Read
The fabric cover is nice and I especially like the colors. The funny part is the artist called this design "Martha." Anyone who is familiar with Biblical Martha would probably be familiar with her sister Mary. Martha, hustling around the kitchen taking care of her guests, was too busy to sit quietly and listen to Jesus; Mary was commended for taking time to focus on the Word when He was sitting on her sofa. But, that's just a side note. Maybe the artist chose this "Martha" design as a call to the rest of us Marthas to stop what consumes our time and choose to come sit and enjoy the word. LOLThis actual Bible is a pleasure to read. I wasn't familiar with ESV, but looked into the translators' approach discussed in the opening of the book. Their objective was a word for word version. Using blueletterbible (dot com's) Bible tools, I compared some ESV passages with NKJV, KJV, NASB 95 AND NIV. It compared very favorably with NKJV AND NASB 95. That's important to me.The print is comfortably readable with my regular readers, although this isn't what I thought of when I saw "large print" in the ad. The paper is a creamy ivory with some substance to it, esthetically pleasing and relaxing to read in gentle contrast with the print.I like the single column. It's easy to cover a lot of ground - one because of the flow of the single column and two, because there aren't any notes, alternate translations for words, or references to other passages to distract the reader. Very rarely a tiny note appears at the bottom of a page. The wide side margins are lined, so it's easy to make notes directly adjacent to the line of text being notated. I write in pencil in my Bible, and this paper erases cleanly without threat of tearing tissue-thin pages.I just picked up a new guide to read the entire Bible in a month, covering about 40 chapters a day. Pretty aggressive, but with the advantages of this READING Bible, I might come close. Because of the lack of study aides and references, I wouldn't consider this a study Bible, but it's easy to find my notes to see where I want to take more time to go deeper with external study aides.I really like this ESV Single Column Journaling Bible for all the reasons above. Right now I'm doing a fast survey through the entire Bible cover to cover, as I like to do from time to time with a version that's slightly different than I'm used to reading so I notice new things. The way this ESV is laid out facilitates this, is enjoyable, and I am pretty confident in the actual translation. It will be easy enough to do comparative studies when I have questions. The only helps included are a table of weights, measures, and monetary units, along with a plan to read the Old Testament once in a year and the Psalms and New Testament twice.I recommend this Bible. It's a pretty hardback - not lovely leather - but I think it will stand up to a lot of use through the years.I hope you enjoy yours should you choose to order it. Easily readable on so many levels.

Nice
This English Standard Version of the Holy Bible is nice. The hard covers are beautifully decorated and designed. The Bible has scripture in a single column towards the center with lines on each outer edge for note taking. The pages are thin, like most Bibles, so I am concerned that my note taking might bleed through or show on the opposite page. I have not started using this Bible for my personal study yet, but I did notice that the words of Jesus are not in red like other Bibles I have used in the past. This has a nice ribbon bookmark and reference pages in the back for weights, measurements and money, as well as a read the Bible in a year plan. Overall, I think this Bible is nice but I am disappointed to see the words of Jesus Christ are not in red and I am unsure yet about the thickness of the pages in regards to note taking. I will update this review if necessary.

Beautiful, easy to read
This Bible would make a great gift to someone else or yourself. The large print makes it easy to read. The extra column makes a superb place for taking notes as you read or while being taught. There are also extra spaces throughout to make longer notes.

A Beautiful, Well-Made Bible with Ample Margins for Journaling
I absolutely love the cover art on this Journaling Bible. The muted greens and pale blues of the linen cover attract my eye and have a lovely, peaceful feel. I am excited to begin journaling in this ESV Bible as I go through a reading plan. As a bonus feature, there is a "read through the Bible in a year" plan included in the appendix. The margins are lightly lined to assist in notetaking or journaling what the Lord shows you as you read. This looks and feels like it was produced with quality materials and craftsmanship. The large print is helpful for my 58-year-old eyes, but I still need to wear reading glasses for the 9.5-point font. I heartily recommend this beautiful Bible.
