Brilliant to use with Sponge Filters!
I'm a little bit addicted to these filters, and have 4 in use currently! I like to use these as a powerhead attached to a sponge filter, simple to do and there are guides on doing so available online. Result being I have all the benefits of a sponge filter for my shrimp tanks, but turbo charged with adjustable flow rate. These are small, quiet filters that pack a decent punch at a very good price point.

Excellent quality mini filter for smaller tank
I have installed this mini filter in my small 15L tank with Platy fry. the filter is quite powerful, but the power can be turned down to create a smaller current more suited to fry. It is quietly keeping the tank clean, and is easy to clean the filter sponge. The filter sponge it comes with is quite coarse, and therefore would not be suitable for baby shrimp, however, finer replacement sponges are easily obtainable through Amazon.

Great little filter
This is a lovely compact filter, the only downside is the sponge, it is not as dense as the photos on the advert look. Not the end of the world, an easy upgrade but a little misleading.I would buy again despite this small issue.

Great little filter.
I’d purchased two sponge filters with power heads attached from Amazon which were rubbish and a waste of money so I bought this filter and attached the power head to a bog standard double sponge filter and it works very well. The bubbles are nice if you want to use them, if not you can easily turn them off with the little switch supplied.Full instructions on how to do this are on YouTube.

Good little pump
I've got this in a little 22 litre tank with shrimp in. Get good water circulation, good amount of bubbles (which can easily be turned off or regulated), shrimp seem to be happy. One very minor gripe is that the flow of bubbles isn't a constant, it kind of pulses with the pump which can be a bit distracting on the desk next to me when I'm trying to work (compared to an airpump which just becomes white noise after a while). Overall noise is good though, I don't find it distracting

Wow
I have set up a nano tank for my bedroom and needed something silent. I tried a sponge filter with an air pump but it sounded like I was in a jacuzzi and a strong need to pee. So I was guided to this and I'm so glad. It's that silent I keep putting my finger in to make sure it's working. Completely silent which is perfect

Great Filter for smaller aquariums
Amazing filter! I have two aquariums both with the Pat Mini Filter. It’s perfect for shrimp and small nano fish and my only complaint would be the sponge is a but too course which may lead to very small shrimplets and fish fry to get stuck but is easily fixed by replacing the sponges with finer sponges which can be found on Amazon. Would recommend to all aquarists!
