I took me over a month to decide on a shed ... Plastic or metal?? And the there's the Price ... $500 or $1500?? I decided on this shed which was offering $100 off, but it wasn't a Prime item so the shipping was $100. Still I got the shed at the price I wanted to spend on a "metal" and the size I desired. 10X8. The metal is decent. There are some gaps upon completion but I think I'll caulk it to fill them in to make certain it will be water proof.Here's some tips:-if you're building your own base as I did, make sure to make it AT LEAST, 98" long and 105" wide! Or else you will be short!-take your time ... there's no quick way to install 600 screws.- USE A MAGNETIC TIP on your drill bit or screw driver. You will have to hold panels in place while screwing them tight. A magnetic driver will save your sanity!!-the metal is a little thicker than a beer can. It's a doable shelter for your tools, DON'T COMPLAIN IF YOU DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND MORE $$$!!-DO NOT BUILD ON A WINDY DAY ... you will become frustrated!!-OVERLAP All panels to make a "Channel" for water to run down. You will see one end of every panel is somewhat flat and the other side is "U" shaped. Put them correctly to make a channel!All in all I recommend this shed and building you own base. I did this ALL BY MYSELF ... It took me 10 hours from start to finish, so PLAN FOR THIS TO TAKE YOU ALL DAY! And be happy when it's done, don't go back on Amazon shopping for another shed, and wonder if you could have gotten a better deal ... Just enjoy what you have built!

I ordered this shed because I was moving and I needed a coop for my chickens that would go up fast, be inexpensive and durable enough to protect them from predators until I can build something permanent.The shed arrived in a couple of days, it comes flat-packed in a single box and it’s pretty heavy so you’re going to need a dolly or a friend to help you move the box around.Assembly is pretty easy, the directions are pretty detailed once you figure out the language, they’re written in English but probably by an engineer, the pieces are labeled in some kind of manufacturing code, not a simple A, B, 1, 2, 3. But trust the directions and follow them in order, even once you see where it’s going and you think you can cut corners… don’t. Just follow the directions.Keep the price in mind as you assemble, the pieces are flimsy and lightweight and you will wonder how they’re ever going to stand up. I built mine on top of a plywood sled so I can pull it into different spots out in the field, and this actually helped a lot with the strength of the shed! It does sturdy-up pretty fast as soon as you get some structure assembled, but attaching it to a solid floor really helps! For my particular use I cut some holes in the tin for the door and window, but this didn’t hurt the integrity of the structure after framing them up.All of the metal comes with a plastic coating, like you would peel off a new device or screen. You don’t NEED to remove it, but I would recommend taking the time to peel it all off. I did not remove it and every place where the film is scratched is starting to feather out and look messy, the metal is plenty strong, you don’t need the film to protect it.The roof is the most difficult part to put together… it’s hard to reach and the plastic trim pieces are a real pain. Once it’s together it looks ok but be prepared to struggle.I had problems with leaking the first time it rained. I tracked the issue and it was the place where two metal sheets came together… they do overlap and bolt together, but the rain was angled to where it was blowing right in. A few beads of silicone (not included) along the seams and problem solved.I like that the door knob locks with a key (and they give you two of them) but it’s not very sturdy… it will keep kids out but a thief will rip it open with a few good pulls. The “thieves” I have to worry about are raccoons and coyotes, so I added latches to the top and bottom of the door and that made it lock up really solid.All considered, this is a good shed for the price. Building this same thing out of plywood would easily cost twice as much or more and I had this completely assembled in a couple hours.My brother just bought a house with no garage and I recommended the large version of this exact shed for his lawnmower and stuff. It’s worth it.

I bought this shed (6'x4') on a whim, from a targeted ad. I was in need of some extra storage, so I figured why not. This was $150 shipped, after a $20 instant coupon, so I honestly kept my expectations low. To my surprise, this is a very well machined product. I expected to have to drill a few holes due to misalignment or precision errors, but every single fastener lined up perfectly. The instructions are clear and there's a QR code for a video build if you ever get lost or confused. Pay attention to how the instructions display panel overlaps.Plenty of extra fasteners were provided.The metal is not the thickest and the pieces on their own felt flimsy at times, but once things started coming together, it really started becoming a sturdy shed.The most annoying part was peeling the plastic wrap from the aluminum pieces, but really... whatever.I would likely not trust this in a large snowfall or heavy wind area. The built product is not flimsy, but the metal would probably give under the weight of heavy snow, after some years. If I lived in a high wind area, I would anchor this to the ground.There is a 1/2" interior lip for plywood flooring, which is what I did. If your plywood flooring will be contacting the ground, it wouldn't hurt to paint it with some water seal, otherwise put some gravel down as a base.I imagine I'll have to address any potential leaks with some silicone, but that's not a concern.The lock is pretty useless, truth be told. I'll likely never lock it.All-in-all, if you're looking for an affordable and sturdy place to store some garden supplies, with an attractive design, you really can't beat this.
