Excellent Blanket!
I had to replace my old one due to a change in mattress sizing. I love my Vellux. They last for years. For those with allergies, no dust worries!!

Nice Medium Weight Blanket
I really like this blanket. It is soft and lightweight but will keep you warm. It washes and dries well, and seems sturdy.

WASH before using for best results
You HAVE to wash (include a bit of liquid fabric softener in the rinse) and tumble dry on low before using this blanket. Out of the package, all those lovely little fibers are compressed and "sticky". Once laundered, it's like, "Ahhhhh...." THIS is the feeling I remember!*Velux* has been around for many years. I had one when I was a child. Fast forward to now, when I was seeking comfort and nostalgia to help myself decompress.

Great Blanket
The blanket is just what I ordered, but it was delivered to the WRONG ADDRESS. Fortunately my neighbor knows me and let me know the had the package.

Vigilantly searching for Vellux!
Great price for a great product. I do believe I love Vellux SO much because of core travel memories in my childhood. They have ALWAYS been my go to blanket brand as an adult. This was a great price and goes perfectly with my bed set.

best ever blanket money can buy
i have used these for years , got hooked on the light weight and comfort of them ,they are warm in winter and don't over heat you in summer , VELLUX is the only brand i ever bought so i don't know about the others , ,, it s not like a cozy or throw blanket , its does not shed or wrinkle , , just be careful on washing,, , gentle cycle and gentle dry , you will be surprised at your sleep when you don't wake ups sweating from a heavy comforter or chilled with a normal sheet ,,i still have a comforter for looks but fold it back and sleep under VELLUX ,i met a person who was burned in a fire and he said because of burns they are perfect not heavy not to light and his sleep was great ..my first was at a hotel 30 years ago and since then bought my own and love them ,, not everyones sleep habits are the same , so judge for yourself , also i always rinse and dry before using but thats me hope this helps and no i dont do this for adds this is my personal option on something that i like

Deeply Disappointed ,This Is Not the Vellux I’ve Loved for 30 Years
I’m so disappointed in this product. The Vellux blanket has been my security blanket since childhood, no one could pry it from me. Over the last 30 years, I’ve purchased at least 15 of these. I’ve kept them in my home, taken them on trips, and sadly lost a few over time. But I always replaced them because I trusted the brand and knew exactly what comfort felt like.Unfortunately, the version being sold today is nothing like the original. It’s rough, scratchy, and feels more like a dish scrubber than a blanket. I barely opened the package just unzipped the top and I knew instantly it was going back. The texture was so jarring, I didn’t even want to touch it.What’s most upsetting is how far the quality has fallen and that the company doesn’t seem to care. I’ve seen the wave of negative reviews from longtime loyal customers like me. I should’ve listened, but I gave the benefit of the doubt. I regret that now.Why claim this blanket is “soft and cozy” when it’s clearly not? It’s misleading and disappointing. I also noticed tiny circular rips in multiple spots, like the fabric was already breaking down before I’d even used it. That was the final straw and why I’m writing this review.Fortunately, I still have one of the older Vellux blankets, and it’s a reminder of what quality used to be.
