New BalanceMen's FuelCell Rebel V4 Running Shoe

Love this shoe! Over my course of running the past 25 yrs yrs I've done marathons, countless half marathons and triathlons and a few 1/2 Iron man, so I've tried everything under the sun. Been running in saucony kinvara the past 5 years and they are great but I was burning through them within a couple months because the bottom soles are crap and wanted to try something different. First run in this shoe just felt like i was being propelled forward, I only did 3 mi but the shoe just feels like it wants to go fast and each mi came effortlessly because of the plush ride and response from the shoe. I've done quite a few more runs since then and I still love it, this is my new go to shoe, we'll see how the bottoms wear throughout the miles but haven't noticed yet. Only thing I will say is the inside of the shoe is a little abrasive and can pinch, so if you're a low cut sock wearer like me you might experience a little rubbing at first but just keep a loose fit and all is good.

I have two pairs of this shoe, I bought my first pair after trying them on in a store and I immediately loved the way they felt. I bought my second pair (pictured) from Amazon because the colors are nice, and I needed another pair to use exclusively outside of work. I'm very tempted to buy a few other colors. My other pair is black and white, and I appreciate how the black is slightly purple and the white is slightly grey. Anyway, it's great these shoes caught my eye because they don't just look good. The soles have a soft cushiony feeling and the uppers live up to their name: "FantomFit." They are my favorite shoes for 12 hr shifts as a bedside RN, setting PRs in 1mi and 5k, and going out for food, drink, etc. Although these shoes are cushy, they are also responsive and fast. When running shorter distances I simple don't think much about them and they help me do my thing and yes it's in these shoes I broke my records for 1mi and 5k despite owning carbon shoes Nike Vaporfly 3 and Fuelcell Supercomp Elite v3. Probably because I'm more likely to take these shoes out daily. There are however two things I don't like about these shoes: 1) the upper material seems prone to abrasion, and 2) I'd get sore on long distance. I washed my 1st oair once and used a brush on the upper of the right shoe, little broken fabric filaments are now visible all over the upper hence I simply did not scrub the left one. In general both my pairs do not show much signs of other wear so I think the main thing is to not scrub the uppers. My second issue is that I could run more than 17.3 miles in these shoes. I had bad upper foot pain on two of my long runs in training for my first marathon in December 2024. I suspect, the upper foot pain may have been caused by form modifications from other pain on my soles then knees. Because of this the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 won the toss-up for my marathon shoes. With that said, 17.3 miles is quite a long distance already and there could have been other factors that may have contributed to my pain. I must mention that the Adios is a dedicated road-running shoe and is more expensive. I wouldn't want to work a 12 hour shift in them because they feel funny when not running. I also must mention that these shoes are awesome on the treadmill as well as the road/sidewalk. While $140 isn't cheap, I consider it a good value for how good they are and how how they compare to more expensive shoes.

These are the best shoes I've ever had. Admittedly, I have never really liked spending money on running shoes but after getting these I am hooked. I used to get a lot of blistering on my feet, now I run 6 miles and my feet and shins don't even feel it. I love these and since I got them I have not stopped talking about it. It really does make a huge difference. This is literally (I'm pretty sure at least) my first review on any item.... ever. Good shoes.

This just came in the mail, it was on sale for 109.99. At first they weren't great and were kind of uncomfortable, very snug. But I replaced the insoles from another NB shoe, and now they feel perfect. Really glad I didn't have to return it because the white/white color isn't common on most models. They are much more squishy than my old MoreFoamv3 and daily 1080v12s. High stack and super light weight, has a rocker shape bottom. These are my new favorite dailywear shoes. The best New Balance shoe and only 110 bucks.

they come in a bag without the shoe box, that give me the sensation of a fake shoe, very bad presentation. let see how much reliable they are

Have constant foot pain after breaking my foot in a car wreck several years ago. I've got a few different shoes that are "ok" and don't hurt "too much" but when the family wanted to spend 3 days walking around Universal Orlando I knew I needed to come prepared. Bought a few different pairs of shoes to try and kept 2 to bring with me. These and the NB 990v6. Both were fantastic and I felt great all 3 days.

I have purchased and returned 3 pairs of this shoe in varying colors hoping to solve the defect that has consistently been present on each pair. However, all 3 have come with the same defect on the right shoe. The back of the shoe is smashed which looks to be from manufacturing. I am curious if these are all defective quality control shoes being sold at full price. Needless to say this is highly disappointing and thus far they do t refund to anything but an Amazon gift card. This may seem like a minor issue but I expect a high quality and brand and shoe at this price point to not come with aesthetic defects like this. Very frustrating process.

I would recommend. Light weight and breathable shoe. Very comfortable. I would say it’s a summer or spring shoes. Very thin mesh so I would not wear it in the winter or cold weather. Very comfortable for the price. I like the wide variety of colors and sizes.
