The problem is, that was not the only reason I bought it. I bought this product because it purported to be a BOTH a functional mouse/keyboard for an HTPC as well as have features you would expect with a 4 dollar Universal Remote Control for my TV. The instructions that come with it are parsimonious at best, clearly not written by a native English speaker, but that really isn't the biggest problem. Either the instructions do not mention how to do this or the device simply cannot function as a Universal Remote Control. It mentions "IR learning" by using a "Smart Remote". I don't understand why this product could not include 1985 technology and have a simple process to program the remove via universal codes. I do not have the original remote control for my 50 inch Toshiba Smart TV. I don't know why that is the only way to program this remote to control the television, my DVD player, etc (if it even CAN do that). In my experience, the entire reason people buy universal remote controls is because they've lost the original remote. I do have a novelty Sharper Image Jumbo remote, I was able to program (again, a 20 year old universal remote control that can do something this newer technology device either cannot do, or the manufacturers cannot have been bothered to provide competent instructions for doing) I asked a question through desertcart, and the response I got was from the seller and was no more helpful. It routed me back to the lacking instructions. I was however unable to use my programmed Jumbo remote to program this device. It doesn't work. My goal was to have one device to do both things, again, this is height of 1985 technology that I'm asking for, which doesn't seem unreasonable. I would return this device if it was worth the hassle, unfortunately since its less than 20 dollars, its more trouble than its worth to me.

Multi-room multimedia remote
Multi-room multimedia remote. It is plug and play on Windows 10. I use these to control the music in my house from various rooms whether they are wired or bluetooth speakers. You don't have to point it at anything and it seems good on battery life so far. I haven't tested every feature but the main media control buttons work as expected (volume, skip track, mute, OK). It's sleek looking and is a great value for a multi-room remote at $10. Thank you.

Great Purchase!
The T16 Air Mouse Combo does everything you need it to do for Streaming TV, Kodi, NetFlix, and others. It is a newer version of the Air Mouse and has many upgraded features, The front backlight has multiple color options and the backlight on the touch screen/keyboard is excellent. The backlight on my previous air mouse was almost useless and seldom got used. The backlit display on the T16 is very readable and a joy to use. The upgraded 3-Gyro/3-Gsensor makes pointing the mouse accurate and easy to use and the added touch screen feature allows you to move around or type as you would on an iPAD. I highly recommend this remote.

Trash
This remote lasted a couple of weeks no matter what I do it doesn't, this was a waste of money I don't know why the changed the remote the older one worded better. I need a replacement but I'm disabled and can't get out to send the broken one back to Amazon, it's to much of an inconvenience for me, and even if I pay for them to do a pickup they never come.. if I could give it zero stars I would. I don't recommend.

Only 5 IR Learn Keys
This would be an awesome universal remote if it had more IR learn keys. The lay out is very easy to use and large buttons are easy to use and find in the dark with the back lighting. With my TV (An LG Smart TV) however the Home & Back buttons are inoperable so I had to transfer those function to two of the colored function keys taking away the use of them for other functions and leaving me with 2 dedicated keys the do NOTHING. I am going to keep this since I have found no better alternative yet. The Chinese should LEARN that Americans like things to work properly and will pay a little more to get. If all the keys were learn keys so ANY TV could be used properly I would give this remote 5 stars across the board and be willing to pay double.
