wife bought a tight pair of shoes. fixed in shoe tree, 7 days later wearing no problem. saved a £50 pair of shoes

But..... The metal washer that sits against the foot part of the threaded shaft has warped due to the pressure applied to stretch only 1 pair of shoes. They may have been reasonably priced, but if they only work once or twice, then that's hardly good value. This has happened from stretching the length and then additional pressure exerted in order to stretch the width. This has also cause damage to the wood that sits against the metal washer. The diameter of the washer needs to be much bigger because as the foot part widens it's pushing and bending the washer all out of shape. This product needs some design adjustment!Update.... missed return window by 1 day! Don't waste your money. Spend more and pay attention to the reviews. You can see from the picture the washer is bent out of shape the other shoe stretcher is even worse!

Very flimsy washers are too soft

I recently purchased a pair of sequinned loafers,canvas/sequinned at he top and a band of trainer type rubber around the bottom. They were a continental size 6, which in the uk comes up smaller on my size 6 feet. I purchased these stretchers to do the job of breaking them in as my poor feet are not up to the challenge and i must say within the space of 8 hours inside the shoe on a sunny windowsill for a bit of heat, my shoes fit much better already. i will customise the stretching with the plastic bumps to give me more room for all the bumpy joints my feet have mutated into. (oh the joys of getting older lol) bunions!. The stretcher itself was all set up and ready to go. it came with its other foot in cellophane, to use it all you have to do is push it into the shoe and keep turning the knob on the end and that separates the front from the back to stretch length ways if you need that, and the L shaped bit is turned to open up the block for width. I bought a medium and it is just right,.

Used on one pair of shoes. Did work tho I might do same pair again as still tight on one foot. I couldn’t even get them in to start with tho. One tip I read was to use hairdryer to soften material of shoe while being stretched. Lost one star for the inserts as the holes don’t seem to be in the right places for where you would need extra eg where there’s a bunion

Bought for a new pair of shoes (not leather) that were too tight. It took 2 days to stretch them enough, adding the buttons to pressure areas. Pretty good result.

The left shoe on my new shoes was too tight a fit due to the shape of my foot. I bought these shoes stretchers and the shoe is quite comfortable now. I wish there had been some instructions but it wasn't that hard in the end to fathom it out for myself. My shoes are made of suede.
