Legit 2 Person Camping Hammock - Double Tree Hammock - Portable & Heavy Duty - Perfect for Outdoor & Travel

*****This is an initial impression only, as I have not yet tested these hammocks.***** I will update this review after these gifts have had an opportunity for use by their recipients. I purchased two of these all-in-one hammocks as gifts. They shipped promptly, and I opened them to inspect them. They seem well made! I'm writing this review early because, as an avid hammocker, I am not new to hammocks, and I can spot a quality hammock from the not-as-well-made ones. Also, I wanted to give the seller some positive feedback before the Christmas shopping season is over to encourage their business. Most hammocks do not ship with everything you need to start hanging. In fact, most parachute hammocks sell without the straps, which must also be purchased to even begin using the hammock. Sometimes, hammocks include small carabiners, but other times (for cheaper budget hammocks), they only include little s-hooks! These hammocks from Legit Camping, however, come with everything you need, including the straps, carabiners, and some nice tree protectors to boot! For the price point these are selling at (~$45 w/free Prime shipping as of this review), these hammocks are a very good value. Hammocks are typically either single person hammocks or double. Doubles typically support up to around 400 pounds. These hammocks are doubles, so I expect they will be very robust and can comfortably hold two average-sized adults. I own an Eno double hammock (different brand), and I love it. I've been camping in it, and it's very comfortable. My Eno is well made and has a kangaroo pouch underneath to add insulation in case of high winds. But my Eno hammock was also around $80, and did not include hanging straps nor the tree protectors. I had to find my own straps. Eno makes an Atlas Strap system with loops along the length of the strap for easy setup, adjustment, and removal, but the Atlas straps are expensive. Opting for the cheaper route, I went with 1" tubular nylon webbing straps cut to various lengths, but those end up hard to untie, as the knots cinch tighter with weight on the hammock. So these Legit Camping hammocks are definitely easier to set up right out of the bag, and they're less expensive than the other brands. If you're new to hammocking, I highly recommend you pick up a few of these for you and your loved ones and get to it!

This is the best hammock we've ever had! I purchase through Amazon back in April and I spent more time in the hammock that I did any outdoor seating last summer. We are fortunate to have many trees in our yard so I could easily move it to where I want to position myself. This hammock is a breeze to set up even my 10 year old was capable of setting it up on his own. We do quite a bit of camping in the summer and we took this hammock with us on every trip. We were the hit of our "loops" with this hammock. Neighbors came from all around to try it out and several added it to their Amazon carts right from the camp grounds. This hammock provided hours of enjoyment for everyone. Two to three children were able to sit and use it as a swing, all at one time. This hammock is large enough to accommodate two full grown adults, COMFORTABLY!!! Not only did we use it at our camp site but we took it to the lake and used it there. Any place we found two trees that would accommodate (it's fully adjustable, trees don't have to be a certain distance apart) we hung our hamock. We really enjoy using it as a swing too. To use as a swing (for an adult or adult and child together) it is most comfortable to sit with your legs crossed. It can swing really high and the kids all enjoy it very much. Our family dog enjoyed being right next to us on the hammock. We would bring a footstool and set it next to the hammock for our dog to sit on while we were in the hammock. I and my husband took many afternoon naps in the hammock with our dog sleeping next to us. We love this hammock so much we are considering purchasing a second and possibly a third one to bring camping next year. 2 for our family, one for the families we meet. The kids loved a place to "chill" with the friends they met camping. This truly is the best hammock we have purchased and we've purchased many. AND the price, it is excellent!! This is well worth the money. We would be willing to pay twice as much for the quality, size and comfort of this hammock. The ease of setting up and taking down saves time and trees. I could literally have this hammock setup in under 2 minutes. A ten-year-old could do it in under 5. The construction of this hammock is most impressive. The high quality material and stitching will make It last for years and years. I only decided to buy after I saw a review on Amazon for this hammock. My husband is a United States Marine. I read a review about several Marines who slept in this hammock for two weeks and they all raved about it. Honestly if you put a bug tent over does it make you could sleep very comfortably. We haven't tried it yet but we plan to! This would make for a great gift to yourself your family or friends. Everyone could use a hammock like this. We miss being able to use it as often but we will not let the winter stop us from enjoying the hammock outside. I wanted to make mention of the side pocket. The pocket is the perfect size to accommodate any size flip flop. There's nothing more relaxing than swinging in a hammock barefoot. Cleaning the hammock is simple. If and when it got dirty, I just took the hose to it and it would be dry within a couple hours.

My wife and I love this product. The color selections available provide great alternatives for all color tastes. The item arrived in good condition and the color matched the color shown in the pictures. We took the item camping with us the first weekend after the purchase. The setup was extremely easy even for novices like us. You can set the hammock up in 1-2 minutes. The included straps are easy to understand and extremely quick to setup. The straps have a series of knots already tied which provide easy setup for all distances that the straps can reach. Our friend has an ENO hammock that she brought with her on the camping trip. Comparing the straps of the two, the Legit Camping straps were much quicker to setup than the ones our friend had for ENO. We had our hammock up and we were hanging before she had even completed setup on her straps. However, her straps were longer and provided a greater option of locations to hang the hammock. Being deep in the national forest this did not impact our usage at all, but if you are in a location with a sparse number of trees this might be something to consider. You could use other straps than those included with the hammock which would provide a greater number of locations to hang the hammock. However, we really liked how the straps and the hammock all easily fit into the attached bag. The ENO hammock could not fit the straps into the same bag as the hammock. As for the hammock itself, it is extremely comfortable. The stitching is well done, and I have not felt compromised by the quality or make of the hammock at all. I am a pretty big guy, and the hammock I have never felt as if the hammock was going to give way under me. The material is comfortable, and it is also breathable. I have used it on several 90 degree plus days, and while I was worried I might overheat in the hammock, the breathable nature of the hammock made it so I could feel the breeze through it, and I was never any hotter than I would have been just being in those temperatures. I bought one of these hammocks because my wife had said she would like one for camping. Instead of buying one for each of us, I decided to purchase just the one to determine the quality. Having used it for about a month now, we are happy enough that we just ordered our second. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered this hammock at around 6pm yesterday and it arrived today. To really bring that home, it took less than 24 hours to receive my hammock!! Legit Camping may love hanging like sloths, but they sure don’t move like them and I REALLY appreciate that. After much research, we were convinced that ENO was the best company to go with for our camping and hiking gear until I came across this hammock and read more about the company. I can say for certainty that we were wrong. ENO is great, but there’s just something special about Legit that has me sold. Probably the sloth references, beautiful color patterns and, most importantly, their lifetime warranty. Spending money gives me high anxiety, so the warranty really helped give me peace with my purchase. The specs are right on point with what a quality camping hammock should have, plus a couple great details. I shouldn’t have to mention the price because that’s about the first thing anyone looks at but.... great price!! Especially compared to the competition. The hammock is lightweight, insanely soft to the touch, and absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t wait to hang it so found a couple trees at my apt complex and tested her out. Setup was super fast and easy, and I LOVE the straps. I also love that the carry bag is attached to the hammock. I’m thrilled with my hammock so far, and I look forward to updating this review when I take it out in the woods for a few days! I need a rain fly and bug bet now, and I will definitely use Legit Camping for these purchases as soon as possible. I have found my favorite gear company, and I hope they expand their product menu so they’re the only brand I have to use.

I love this hammock! I bought it over during Black Friday, but haven't had the chance to sleep in it until recently. At first glance, the product felt thin and I felt that it would easily tear.. but after spending a night in it in sub-freezing temperatures, I believe that the hammock is made out of excellent material that will last. The color of the hammock reminded me of my days as a Boy Scout (green and tan/brown), so that was pretty neat. The ropes provided weren't pre-knotted; but after playing around with the instructions (which were an 8/10 in clarity), I managed to get the hammock off the ground and into the air. The carabiners are definitely durable, but I wish they could have been slightly larger because the ropes tend to snare on the edges as you clip them in. The tree straps work as they were designed for. The hammock can definitely carry at least 400 lbs. My 2 brothers and I, (who collectively weigh about 415 lbs) were able to squeeze into the hammock (not too comfortable for 3, but very comfortable for 2). I love that the company backs their product 100%, and I hope that in time, if the hammock ever shows signs of stress, the company stays true to their word. My one and only complaint about the hammock is the stuff sack. The pouch for the ropes and hammock is rather small, and although it is possible to cram everything in the pouch, it's a tedious job for something so simple. It would have been much nicer to be able to easily stuff the hammock and ropes into a bag with enough room for spare accessories like a small flashlight or some paracord rope. If you're going camping in sub-zero ˚F weather, this hammock does NOT provide any insulation. Much like anything thin and nylon (just a heads up for anyone wanting to try camping in those types of conditions). Overall, besides the small stuff sack and the carabiners that snag on the ropes, this is a great quality hammock. I haven't used any other camping hammocks to compare, but if and when I do, I'll leave another review to update you! So far, the hammock met my expectations! I'll probably end up buying another as a gift for a friend! The pictures I've added were taken in Tehachapi, CA, where the temperatures overnight ranged from 19-23˚F. Hammock was quite comfortable- even sleeping straight across it (unlike what most others have said!)

JL Review When browsing through various hammocks, I was looking for a low cost hammock that would be suitable for either casual use or for camping. I came across the Legit Camping double hammock and what first caught my interest was its competitive price and lifetime limited warranty which tells me they are confident in their product. There are plenty of smaller hammocks and many do not come with their own straps and carabiners and have to be purchased separately. This hammock comes with all you need to immediately set it up. When I received my hammock (bronze/black), everything appeared in excellent condition. The hammock was very easy to set up and put back within its attached bag. The straps already contained knots for adjustment and there's enough room to add more if necessary. Laying in the hammock was very comfortable and it had no problems holding my weight. It is easily large enough for one person to fit in. I'll definitely be using my hammock more once the weather is more suitable. To add, I contacted Legit Camping regarding their lifetime limited warranty (since you have to sign up within 30 days of purchase and I didn't receive a verification e-mail) and to ask a couple additional questions. They got back with me (thanks Tyler) and verified that I was indeed registered with their lifetime limited warranty. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality hammock at an affordable price. Thanks.

Absolutely wonderful camping hammock (and backyard relaxing hammock too)! I bought this as a present for my husband, so I am really speaking for him with this review. He had been looking at numerous hammocks (ENO etc) to get in to hammock camping, so felt well informed with what he wanted regarding size, materials, weight, and construction. That being said, he was really impressed with this hammock and has tried it out in the backyard and loved it! He stated that it seemed to be of a higher quality construction, and was a bit longer and wider than other comparable hammocks that are sold at a similar or slightly more expensive price point! He felt it was strong, sturdy, and definitely big enough to provide for a comfortable lay with overnight camping, but also great for backyard fun (he has had it out in a hammock stand and loved laying in it and reading)! He stated that the included stuff sack was very useful, and the weight was great for backpacking he plans to do. All in all, I could not be more happy with this purchase and really feel that legit camping has a great product and a great price and deserve much more attention in the hammock camping world! I hope they put out more products related to hammock camping as we would love to support this new company further!

Great product. 10/10 would recommend. Super compact, lightweight, and easy to transport. It comes with directions but it is super easy. I used the suggested alignment of two trees, about ten feet apart, hang support approx six feet off of the ground. The straps come ready to hang up. I laid in mine for almost four hours. It got a lot of breeze thru the fabric, which was great to keep cool. I didn't realize how breezy and comfortable it would be but it was a pleasant surprise. I got a lot of people commenting on the hammock while I was at the park. It is pretty roomy - I was really comfortable by myself but I could definitely see it comfy with an adult friend, too. The quality is great on the hammock and accessories. It was super easy to put up and then repack into the little attached bag. I saw in the promo video people using the attached bag as a little pocket storage while hanging, which I did do and found super useful to fit my phone, charger, water bottle and snack into.
