Value for money

Bought to replace the previous arrangement of the original Pro-ject Debut Carbon interconnect and Chord version joined by gold-plated connectors. This worked rather well, in conjunction with other upgrades to the turntable such as isolation platter, aluminium sub-platter, metal platter, OM30 Series cartridge and isolation feet.My turntable is 2 metres from my amp.The QED made an immediate difference to the sound, which I 'tested' by playing an album and changing the interconnects mid-track.I also have the option of having the turntable even further away from the amp and speakers.

The QED reference 40 is a super sounding cable and gives a great sound straight out of the box. The sound is smooth and detailed without any harshness. I have tried them with a variety of high quality audio products ( audiolab, musical fidelity, icon audio, cyrus, nad, cairn, helius tonearms). They work well with everything I tried. The really interesting discovery was that the cable seems identical to that used for interconnects with the Cairn brand name. I purchased a number of these great cables a few years back. The cable itself looks identical except that the QED is Red and the Cairn was blue. I connected both cables to my cairn CD player and switched between the two running into separate inputs and could not tell the difference. I purchased a 3m pair of QED for less than £100 which is pretty good value for a high quality product. I would expect to pay a lot more for a better cable and would be looking toward Nordost at many times the price. The 3m QED cables could be really great value for anyone wanting to get hands on. In theory you could buy some extra phono connectors,cut the cables into 3, re solder the new phono plugs and have 3x 1m pairs for around £120. Great product though. I would be interested to hear the QED signature cables.

Good value and good delivery time

Got this RAC cable to connect my CD player to my amp - the build quality of this cable is excellent.The phono plugs needs to be loosened before inserting into the connector and the tightened to give a firm tight connection.The cable gave a better sound the the via the cables it replaced and so am very happy with the new cable

the cables are being used as interconnects between an AV processor and active speakers

Curity cable is the best you cannot beat it for the price in my opinion by you will not be disappointed the sound quality is the best I’ve heard at this price

I have a high-end Cyrus-Linn-Tannoy system. Various cables over the years. This is a seriously good interconnect that has earned a full-time position between cd and pre-amp. Faultless.
