Columbia Men's Plateau Hiking Shoe

At the time of writing I have owned these Columbia Plateau Hiking Shoes (in blue) for 2 weeks and have worn them twice, all day at work.I found these on Amazon, liked the color and the price is pretty cheap for a name-brand shoe. After looking at the mall stores I just refuse to pay $80+ for a cheaply-made pair of sneakers. (These prices are insane!!!)Two characteristics I look for is the shoe tread and fit for my fallen-arched feet. I need a good tread for those days I ride the motorcycle to work and I have to have a comfortable, well-fit shoe as I stand most of the day.For the price, these hiking shoes appear to be quality. They're built no different (in my opinion) than the Nike's, Addidas, Puma's, etc. and for LESSTHAN HALF the price of those brands mentioned!So far, they are very comfortable (I've worn them straight out of the box for one day and had my custon arch-support sport inserts in for the second day. Honestly, my feet felt more comfortable without the inserts!The color is a brighter blue than what the Amazon pictures show but I think they're still stylish while being comfortable. The tread is solid and has a lot of grip for my use. (I don't plan to do any hiking but may use them doing some yardwork when they get old.) I bought these a 1/2 size larger as, in my older age, I'm having some "toe issues" and I'm glad I did! The Columbia's give my toes plenty of room without making the shoe feel too oversized.I would definitely recommend this brand and make/model. Mainly for the price vs quality of construction - even if they start coming apart after a while I've had the $80+ shoes do the same thing. But I wouldn't be surprised if these shoes lasted me for a few years as they appear to be very good quality!

Settled on this shoe after doing a lot of research looking for a shoe that was exceptional for stability, comfort and support. I’ve been wearing regularly for several weeks, and I love this shoe. I’ve got a wide foot, so I was glad it was available as a wide shoe. Size 12 wide was true to size and fit perfectly. I purchased while it was on a deep sale, but this shoe would be equally valuable at list price. Highly recommended especially as a mid-lifer looking for comfort and stability for improved balance.

Not as wide as the sketchers afterburner they replaced. Feel good but by end of day they are tight.Nice shoes, great soles/tread nice quality, just not all day work on my feet use.

I really like these. They are very comfortable. I will be buying more Columbia shoes.

I bought these for my husband and he often complains about a "breaking in" period with shoes. None with these! They were comfortable out of the box. They ran true to size. He wore them for several 3-7 mile hikes over a 9 day trip. He loves that they are water resistant too. Great purchase!

Como siempre Columbia, muy buena calidad, súper cómodos, muy bonitos y estéticos. El color es un gris claro que parece blanco incluso. Los recomiendo

I purchased these hiking shoes the end of May and the sole is already worn out on right boot August 9. I used these hiking shoes a couple of times. Although they are comfortable, do not buy them.

Salí de viaje y no quería llevar tantos tenis, solo llevé estos y cumplen para las caminatas largas en ciudad, cómodos y firmes, alguna salida a restaurant/bar ya que no se ven tan deportivos, No resbalan en calle mojada o en piso muy liso.No los he probado para senderismo pero me imagino que mientras no haya mucha agua, ya que no son impermeables, deben cumplir.

No me gustó muy bien ya que el tamaño 27.5 que regularmente compro me quedo lijeramente grande, por lo que me cansan.

Hasta ahora cumple con mis expectativas
