Not bad for what it is
I’d rather use the nice wall mounted compressors but as infrequently as so use them I couldn't justify the $800+. As far as spring compressors go, these are among the “safest” I’ve used. I still had to put another compressor on the opposite side to help straighten the bind, but not bad for the price.

Not sketchy
I used this spring compressor on an R50 pathfinder front strut replacement. I took the old strut apart so I could use the top plate on my new struts. I installed old man emu 2928 heavy duty springs on the new shocks and these got the job done easily. Way safer than my 2 threaded spring compressors
