Q: Is it a 3C or 1-1.5C?

It is neither. It is very shallow.....that C designation on the Bach mouthpieces is a medium depth. There are charts that can give you an exact measurement. .....The rim size is smaller than the 1.5 or 3. I would say closer to the 10 1/2 C. ..... It is very easy to "overblow " and takes some work to play it in the register it was designed for. ...Articulation in lower registers is very difficult but seems to " slot " above the staff much easier...... I purchased a Kelly Screamer to experiment with. ..... joe

Q: Is this mouthpiece good for high notes? How shallow is the cup?

I usually use mine for very cold weather we sound TAPS every Friday night no matter the weather. However I also used it for an outdoor Christmas concert and it did very well with the high notes I would say the cup is probably as deep as one that is on a 5c mouthpiece. I hope this helps you.
