Sturdy and my puppies love using it!
Originally I thought the stairs would be more flimsy since they are hollow, but they are actually sturdy and do not fall over. The zippers on the sides keep the stairs stable and do not come undone. I have carried these stairs around plenty of times and my puppies love using it to get up on the couch or simply to perch at the window. I have not stored anything inside yet though, but it is a nice option to have. With nothing inside, the four step stairs do have a light heft to them, I'd say maybe 12 lbs, but that is because the steps are built sturdy. The steps are soft to the touch but have no cushion and I think that's good for stability. It took some time for my puppies to get used to it, but after a couple months of having these stairs, they have found it to be very comfortable and sometimes they will rest on top of it. Very much worth the cost!

Great Steps - Cat Is In Denial
The steps are great. They are light-weight and can be easily moved to different locations. Assembly is super easy. They seem pretty sturdy for small pets, especially once they are zippered together. I did not notice any odor in the fabric. The storage is good for pet toys or dishes, or whatever fits (think pencil box up to knee-high boot box). The tops are slightly padded; enough to be comfortable, but not too much to be squishy.Elderly Miss Kitty took to the steps right away, but defying her age, she jumped up to the third step and then proceeded to use the fourth step. I am happy that she is still able to do that, but someday she will likely need the steps.

Great product would recommend highly.
This product is exceptionally well-made and sturdy. It offers three, four, or five steps, customizable colors, and a soft surface. I have tested the product and found that it can support my weight of 112 pounds and my height of 5’1”. Each step has a built-in storage compartment, providing ample space to keep toys or other objects. The assembly process is also straightforward. His (bichon )short-legged dog, who weighs 11 pounds, also loves these steps. He has been using the product regularly and find it incredibly convenient. It eliminates the need for me to pick up or help my dog off, making it a valuable addition to my home. Also, I forgot to mention it’s easy to take apart to travel with. If you’re staying at a hotel or somebody else’s home.I hope this helps

My senior dog uses them…
My 18 year old service dog uses these and I really like them as furniture too…They assemble easily and are attractive for a they are a tad slippery and definitely need weight in them like heavy books or perhaps small weight plates, but once full, my 14 lb rat terrier hopped right up to our couch using 2 and an existing sturdier ottoman I have for him, and it works. I used the other one as a side table and plan to incorporate it as needed when I shift furniture for guests or holiday etc. can be used as a small foot stool or for entryway shoes etc. good for organizing. The furry top could be a tad slippery for some pets but he navigates them fine and didn’t give me too many chemical/textile alerts to them, although they had a slight new stuff smell it was minimal compared to a lot of the foam stairs. They are sturdier and safer when placed along the narrow sides against a wall or the furniture itself to go up as it seems to help him feel more like trying it when I’m not there.Overall I recommend and deducted one star as I had to adjust the weight in them and shift them around for almost a week to get them just right, but for the cost they are awesome.

My dog loves it!
My dog loves these stairs! He’s a dachshund mix, so long body with short legs. These are a great size for him, and the stairs aren’t too steep. He uses it daily to get on and off the bed. Also the storage is great. Putting stuff inside the steps helps it be sturdier and not move around much.

Great for small elderly dog
Great for my small elderly dog. Easy for her to climb up to the bed. I don’t unzip and fold away, but it is lightweight enough for me to easily move.

maybe too slippery? my dog wouldn't use
I was really hoping this would work for my older rat terrier/chihuahua mix, but she refused to use it. I think the fur material on the top is too soft and slippery for her. I ended up with another brand that has "rounded" stairs and more grip and she uses that one like a champ.

Perfect doggy stairs
this item is sturdy for our 10lb doggy ... he is confident in using it .. if anything, steps could be a few inches wider but good value
