So far, so good, it lights things nicely and no worries about any flames..I personally like the purple 'arc' that lights....The negatives are the instructions on the back of this black box and tiny text, and not printed very clearly against the black material of the box. The USB charging cable could not be any smaller either! How about a few more inches at least so we can have it lay flatter without arching it or having it in an odd, twisted position.**Uodated review after using it occasionally for one month--It doesn't seem to have enough flame at the tip and Im having to charge it too often.I don't believe it's holding its charge and not providing the same lighter flame as it did in the beginning.

Decent but arc fades very quicklyUPDATE 10/15/2018: My lighter has completely fallen apart. As of NOW I do NOT recommend. Works great for a short period of time then the back end falls off rendering it useless.

Unique lighter that needs no fuel other than charging the battery when needed. Works well on candles, BBQ, lighting propane torches, and trash or campfires too. Bought a few to give as gifts.

This is the greatest thing I never knew I needed. I love that I can use this when a regular lighter wouldn’t reach and that it never runs out of fuel! I also don’t have to break a finger trying to use it.

The lighter works fine, but the instructions for use are on the bottom on the black box in extremely tiny white print. Guess the sellers have concluded that we don't need to pay attention to the safety warnings!

I was skeptical at first and was hesitant to buy this electric lighter, but I gave it a shot. It actually works! Looks like a mini taser except that it doesn't make the loud zapping sound. Tried it on our kitchen candle and the wick lit up with fire immediately. Haven't tried it outside on the barbecue grill yet since the weather is so freakin' cold. I'll just have to update my review once I've done that. So far, this product is a good purchase. Hopefully, it will last long. I like that it is rechargeable. No need to buy matches or gas lighters anymore.
