These are so lovely. Quite easy to put together (although not sure how I would be with all fingers and thumbs) my daughter really enjoyed doing it and was over the moon with the finished item. I must say it is so lovely, the attention to detail is just stunning, worth every penny in my book.

Although I haven’t finished building this yet, I just had to leave a review as I absolutely love my Japanese ramen shop already. I’m halfway through building and I can’t wait to see the finished result. I love anything to do with Japan/Korea/China etc and their respective cultures. So when I decided it would be a cool idea to invest in a building kit to keep my busy, after scanning through Lego sets and being unimpressed by lack of variety, I came across other brands and it was this set that instantly stood out to me. It’s extremely detailed and captures Japanese culture perfectly, the word I’d use to sum it up is kawai, With it being mini blocks, and something like almost 500 pieces I’d say this is more of an adults building kit. Kids over 12 with a good focus and a good attention span should be fine but I wouldn’t buy it for anyone below 12. Also since the blocks are tiny be careful if you’re building this around young kids or pets. I didn’t realise I’d dropped a brick until I saw my puppy try and pick it up, now I’m extra careful when it comes to keeping all my blocks together. Since I intend on completing the ramen shop today, I already have the kimincho shop which I ordered via Prime yesterday ready and waiting as my next project. Like many other reviewers have already said, once you build one kit you will want to build the whole street - extremely addictive!

It's a Ramen shop that you construct out of small plastic blocks. What could go wrong? My daughter likes it and she's not easily pleased. There were no missing parts.That is sufficient praise for today.Note: No actual Ramen is included. This is a toy.

I really enjoyed building this kit, and the finished model looks nice enough that I am happy to put in on a shelf for display, in fact I am considering whether I need more kits to make the whole street scene! These kits offer a choice of traditional Japanese buildings: bath house, tea room, kimono shop or ramen shop. I chose the bath house. Although these are Lego-style bricks, they are not compatible with Lego and roughly half the size. The finished building is small - perhaps 5 inches high - but it is very detailed. The instructions are very easy to follow and take you through the build step-by-step, the only slight issue is that it can be a bit difficult to differentiate between the different colours of bricks in the instructions as there are several variations of brown, grey and beige. It is however great fun to see it all come together complete with attendant, bather, signage, plants, and even water coming from the tap! There were also quite a lot of extra pieces which, as a rather absent-minded person who is prone to losing things, I very much appreciated. This is priced at £16.99 at time of review which is undoubtedly cheaper than a Lego-branded equivalent toy. It would make a great gift for any fans of Japanese culture and looks very cool when complete.

Love these sets - easy to follow instructions, I’ve had no issues with missing pieces. Definitely recommend will be buying more.

Great alternative to the big brand in building blocks and good value!Great gift for fans of Japanese culture too, I've started to build my own little street, it looks really cool!I would recommend getting this for teens upwards as its a challenging little build. Intricate and looks good.The instructions are ok if you follow them carefully, not as clear as the big brands but cover what you need.

These models are great for kids and adults alike.With 399 pieces they are a small project that can be expanded by buying other shops with a view to eventually creating a street scene.The attention to detail is wonderful and there’s a lot to look at and take in.The bricks are set out in sealed packets in an easy to use logical way. The instructions are comprehensive and straightforward to follow.The colours are bright and vibrant and the quirky designs are whimsical and beautiful. In my opinion they are fantastic value and a bit different.They are not compatible with Lego which is a shame but there’s a good few to create in this particular range.I would definitely recommend this and I hope that you find my review helpful.

I got to sit for a good hour as my daughter and her dad sat together doing this and it was lovely to watch. He showed her how to sort the pieces and she showed him how to put it together as his big daft fingers couldn't do it.The little spa not has pride of place on our living room unit for them both to remember a special time spent working as a team which for me makes this priceless.I highly recommend this to others.Ps, My partner tells me there was a lot of spare pieces and the instructions were a great help too.
