When you put this together, make it easier for yourself and have drill bits in a couple of different sizes. Thick gloves are necessary if you don’t want to get a blister. The plywood is pre-drilled where the screws need to go, but the drill bits will widen out the openings, which can be very narrow. That’s why you need the gloves, so you don’t hurt your fingers twisting the screws in.To be honest, this thing took me 4 hours to put together, and I went through an entire process of those stages of grief—first disbelief, then anger, and so forth. But by the 4th hour, I had accepted my limitations and the efforts of the people who designed this furniture. So, it’s sturdy and not bad looking, but enlightenment just seems like a lot to go through for a nightstand. I know I saved money, but next time I might go to a furniture store.

Easy to build

* The directions are incorrect. Please read below!First off, when I read multiple reviewers noting the drawer fit being off, I assumed that the drawer metal pieces were installed reverse since that is typically what causes a loose drawer in these types of builds. Because of that, immediately when I looked over the instructions I found the area where there were two different layouts for the same piece. (See photos for the difference.)In my set of instructions, I ignored that the Step 1 showed them drawn incorrectly with circular on bottom and matched them with the CL and CR text. (Left to left and right to right). So even though your instructions will visually not look the same, match the label to the piece. The drawing is incorrect.If you do that, ta da! Drawer fits smooth as butter and stays in, no problem.If you’ve put together an IKEA piece of furniture of any time, you’ll have no problem with the instructions. They are visually similar and include pieces that are similar. Comes with the L tool and the screwdriver as well.I am only taking off stars because of the directions being incorrect. Otherwise, the piece is great for my daughter’s room.It is short! But that’s what the sizing and specs said so I was expecting it and it’s perfect for my daughters room and bed size.
