Find out what region the DVD is made for...
When I looked to order this movie, I didn't see any indication on the listing that this film was a foriegn film. When I received it, in which I had ordered the film for my two years old nephew, we were excited to sit to watch. When we pressed play, a message popped up on the screen indicating we were not able to watch the film because it was not coded for our region-meaning the USA. I reached out to Amazon to return the DVD. Amazon told me the DVD comes from an outside vendor. I have to contact the vendor. I reached out to the vendor, however I was told I should have looked at the post on Amazon regarding the coding; to which I did not see anything stating it was not made for the USA. In order to get a refund, I had to send it just the way I received it, meaning I shouldn't have opened it. How was I suppose to know it was not made for the USA if I had not read the message popping up on the television screen? I ended up ordering another copy from a different vendor with the correct film.

Mislead
Bought this movie for my daughter because it is her favorite check almost a month to get it then when I received the DVD here in the United States it did not work. Says my DVD player is not compatible and have to put in an access code. Put it in the playstation 2 and 4 and as well did not work. But nowhere in the description didn't stink that it could not be played in the United States. Wasn't even aware that it was a foreign film

REGION BS!
The movie is actually pretty cute. I saw it in a theater. The one star is because like other unsuspecting Amazon customers I discovered this DVD can only be viewed by those special people in region B/2! Unfortunately I waited too long to play it so it was past the return date. I was under the impression a DVD was a DVD in any country, but I’m in North America so what do I know. I guess I could regift it, if I knew anybody in Europe!

DO NOT BUY!! REGION B-NOT FORMATTED FOR USA!!!
Don’t wast your money!! If I could give negative stars I would!! This is NOT formatted for USA Blu-ray, this disc clearly says region B but no where else prior to ordering is that listed anywhere! This was a Christmas present for my son, he is very disappointed and god only knows when we’ll get our refund! 🙄 Save yourself a headache and a disappointed child and DON’T BUY THIS!! Also, the packaging says “BLU-RAY + DIGITAL” there was no digital included either-complete waste!!

Not like the book
The book “The Story of Ferdinand” is a great book about not conforming to the culture or to peer pressure. This DVD, however, is very typical of today’s modern cartoon movies. It is loud with crude language at times, and obnoxious characters. There are also some scenes that might scare younger children such when they go into the chop house and have to navigate through the machinery and blades that cut up the cows for meat. There is also a very sad and heartwrenching scene when Ferdinand’s father does not come back from the bull fight. The end of the movie was good but it was hard to get through.
