The All Souls Trilogy Boxed Set Paperback – 26 May 2015

The All Souls trilogy is my favourite book series. Historical fantasy is my favourite genre, and this is an academic, intelligently written and well researched tale with an excellent incorporation of fantasy elements into real life history and geography. It has vampires, witches and daemons, but it's far from the usual teenage romance type of novels, and nor is it a gory horror. Much of it is set in libraries and universities, and the second book, Shadow of Night, takes us back in time into a vividly imagined Tudor England, in search of a lost manuscript. There are so many memorable characters and powerful women.I'd read all the books before, but I'd borrowed A Discovery of Witches from a friend, had Shadow of Night in hardback and had The Book of Life on my Kindle. So, since it's my favourite series, I wanted to get a matching set in paperback, and then I spotted this boxed set with lovely new designs for the covers. The set has pride of place on my bookshelves, and I'm planning to read the whole trilogy again soon.

So thrilled to. finally receive this wonderful book series. Loved the Discovery of Witches TV series and have been wanting the books.

Have read this trilogy a few times over the last few years and can never fail to get drawn into this marvellous scary world of witches and vampires with higher education thrown in for good measure. All previous reading of this series has been via Kindle but all 3 sets are now failing and I will not be getting replacements because newer units have terrible programming and weak batteries. But the “All Souls Trilogy” is excellent reading in any format. Marks are 10out of10 plus a gold star.

The books themselves are great. The story is gripping with fantastic story telling. The only negative point is that the cover is so so flimsy. Not much thicker than an actual book page... which is certain to deteriorate quickly.

Absolutely beautiful covers. The books transport you into a world where magic and reality sit side by side. The authors attention to detail with history is impeccable. In short, if you love magic and social history you will adore these books as much as I do.

Amazing books, I’ve not been able to put them down ! An adult read, I was a big fan of books like Hary Potter and Twilight when I was younger, this trilogy is for adults but still has all of the magic !

The best written book I read so far and I read many, it is very thorough, vastly entertaining, interesting and never one moment of boredom, I must say I learned more about witches history, spells and crafts than from anywhere else, I definitely recommend it.
