Compact forge kit at a great price
So fr I have no complaints, one thing to remember, this forge is mainly for smaller projects. If tou want an great big forge, this is probably not foe you. This forge is great for knife making and small forging jobs

First gas forge, surprisingly high quality!
I've only used coal forges before this (if you can call my pile of bricks and a hair dryer a coal forge), but I'm never going back to coal after this! It was easy to assemble, and impossible to get wrong if you lose the instructions. The shell is tough, and the fire burns hot, heating up railroad spikes in a fraction of the time it would take for coal to do the same job. You can hook up any propane tank to the hose, and I actually use the same tank I use on my grill! It works just as well as a forge you can get for hundreds, and this is by no means a "you get what you paid for" product. The quality is actually better than I expected! Money well spent.

Do a little research as to how to set it up
I have been using this forge for a while now for annealing and for small forging jobs. It works well, but I did watch a few YouTube videos (just search the forge name) as to how to set it up and it made all the difference in the world because when I bought it the description did not cover a few things. Using rigidizer to harden the kaowool is an important step and the rigidizer I bought separately, It would be hard to cement the wool without it. The other thing that makes this forge work for me was buying about 4 fire bricks so I could partially close up the ends to hold in more heat if I needed to. But, for the $$, it is really hard to beat it. I gave it 4 stars just because it really should have come with rigidizer even it it made it cost just a bit more — or a least come with the advice that you would need to purchase it separately. Anyway, I am impressed with the little forge and would 100% buy it again for the price I paid.

You Get What You Pay For
The forge works, but insulation started crumbling after just a few uses. Not built to last.

Good product but buy rigidizer
I love it but please buy rigidizer for your safety! Look up silicosis you don’t want it. Forge is “technically” ready to go, but I strongly recommend buying the rigidizer. I mostly use this for heat treat on stock grind knives, it has been working great!

Causes cancer
The forge itself works well, you cannotForge weld in it. The lining it comes with gives you cancer with exposure. They should have provided refractory cement and rigidiser, but they did not. If you have this forge and you want to keep using it, but satanite it will insulate it better and you will not get cancer.
