Helps add structure to piano practice
This series is great. I got this as soon as I'd looked at the First Theory book and the exercises in it are perfect for reinforcing music theory learning from piano lessons in a fun and accessible way. My kid loves doing the exercises. They do two pages a day, along with 10-20 mins on the piano and it makes a great structure for our home practice outside of lessons.

very good for children in the 6 to 9 age group
Handy for making sure the children understand time signatures, value of each note, and for learning note names in both bass and treble clef. A fun way for them to get their theory done and not time consuming. A couple of pages a week is all it takes (5 minutes per page tops) for it all to sink in without making them feel they are doing any work. Book 2 can start when they have done about 2 or 3 terms of weekly lessons.

Great transition from book 1
Great transition from book 1, yet some of the exercises are slightly repetitive which can get a little boring for the student to write the same thing out over and over again. However I would still reccomend this for those who want to do grade 1 theory.

Lovely in practice and theory
We have the whole series and it is ideal for young children progressing to their first exams. It is basic and certainly aimed at the younger audience so I dont think a teen new to learning would be too thrilled at the tone.

a good series
this series of 3 theory books is great for the 5 to 9 yr old - it makes it fun. I then go onto music theory for young musicians grade 1
