This is the best grinder you'll own! Fabulous workmanship! 🍄
The media could not be loaded. Wow, just wow. This Milwaukee grinder is as compact as you'll probably get from a grinder. It's not lightweight but you can't really get such a powerful machine that could be any lighter than this is.As with all Milwaukee products you expect quality and this grinder offers you this, it feels solid in the hand. The balance is excellent in comparison to, for example Dewalt or Makita battery operated grinders. Compared to Dewalt and Makita grinders, the quality of this Milwaukee is supreme. Other manufacturers of battery operated grinders just don't give you the same power, feel or robustness as this Milwaukee.I'm used to using hand grinders that have a slide button allowing you to turn the grinder on or off so this paddle version has taken some getting used to to be honest but now I have, I prefer it. The paddle control allows you to operate the grinder at more extreme angles than that of the old style button on/off design. Also, to stop this grinder you simply open your hand, causing the paddle to lift up and then it stops. I found that with the old button style grinder you tended to fiddle about attempting to locate the on/off button if you were grinding in a confined space. The safety feature which you need to flip forward before you can press the paddle to operate the grinder does take a few attempts to get used to but it's not rocket science and after an hours use you'll be great with it I would suggest. I'm not stupid but moving to a different operating system does take a little bit of time to get used to. I do like this paddle system more than the old button style though.I'd suggest that you get a high output battery as this grinder, as with all battery operated grinders does consume power rather rapidly.A useful feature of this Milwaukee is the speed control button. You can toggle between maximum power which allows you to cut quickly through virtually anything, to a more controlled and slower speed giving you a more accurate cut if necessary. The slower speed is useful if you are cutting through stainless steel pipework and you require a symmetrical profile before you join a crimped fitting. As stated by the manufacturer, this grinder is a breaking grinder and it works brilliantly. From maximum speed to a complete stop does take about 2 seconds. This does offer peace of mind if your task involves repeatedly using your grinder and then having to put it down. It just makes life easier and let's you work more efficiently and safer!I do only ever buy Milwaukee cordless tools so I've already got the fast charge charger and loads of other batteries and for someone who has used Dewalt and Makita previously I am certain that this Milwaukee out performs them regularly. Importantly to me is that Milwaukee are built to be used, carried around without breaking them and if you are unfortunate enough to drop them they survive. They're a solid and reliable bit of kit. If you're after the top of the range grinder then this Milwaukee M18 Fuel paddle grinder with breakstop is what your after.I did get the case with my purchase but for me, I carry all of my necessary tools around in my rugged tool bag so I didn't need it but it is useful. Also, the fix-tec nut that is supplied with this kit works excellently and really does save you time when it comes to swoping your worn disc over for a new one as you don't need any other tools to do this, just a twist of your fingers and you're away. It's well worth the money and performance wise I just can't fault it!

Love the paddle switch
Light and easy to use. The paddle switch is new to me and so much smoother than slide or triggers I have had before. My first cordless grinder and a joy for ease of access and cable free use.Swift delivery by supplier.Very happy with this

Fantastic piece of kit
I have been looking to add to my Milwaukee collection as I wanted to get rid of corded tools. This grinder is an amazing and powerful piece of kit. Comfortable to hold and not as heavy as my corded add to this the fact it brakes within a couple of seconds even at the highest revs. I absolutely love this grinder as I do all my Milwaukee tools,

Buy a spanner
I lost all my tools in a fire and have been rebuilding my collection. I have decided to go with the Milwaukee platform. You pay a premium but I think they deliver. This is a powerful tool with enough grunt for my jobs. I am using 5Ah batteries and they happily grind away. I don’t grind away for hours so I did not need corded and wanted the flexibility. So far , so good.My only criticism is of the Fixtec nut: it is a device that is meant to make changing discs tool-less. Having run a cutting blade for half an hour I could not undo the nut by hand. Maybe if I was stronger I could get more purchase and open the nut. Instead I ordered an angle grinder spanner and used that. The grinder does not come with a spanner. Order one when you buy this. For this omission I only give 4 stars.Post script c 6 months laterI have been using this with an Arbortech turbo and have been upset about the way it eats the battery and the battery overheats and shuts down. For simple sanding, cutting and grinding I love it but I have bought a corded grinder for when I want a long use of my angle grinder. My 5Ah batteries could not cope. I only have two and they do not recharge as quick as they run down when using the turbo plane.

Excellent tool. Portability made it a breeze to work with.
Being cordless was key for me. The grinder really had some good torque and I felt like the tech inside was looking after itself and the batteries when I pushed it hard.Great addition to my tool bag.

Don't know how we managed without.
Our angle grinder is one of six available in our workshop and the only wireless one. It is used daily both in the workshop and on sites. It is even used with cattle hoof-trimming discs where it has cut the time and effort required by X4. Its batteries are shared with a drill and little Sawzall, so even when it isn't in use, the batteries are. Brilliant! The fast brake feature on this model is also great and important when it is being put down and lifted back to work rapidly.

Grinder
Absolutely brilliant and the person selling was brilliant but DPD delivery was shocking it took 4 attempts to deliver and you can’t collect in person and a 12second phone call cost me a total of £24.80 so beware
