Got this as my wife couldn't get my boiled eggs right. And as much as I'm an easy kinder going man there's only so much I could take of 8years of under/over boiled eggs. Now I have lovely dippy eggs that are cooked to perfection!!! Yes I bought this for our anniversary which might of been a bit harsh considering she bought me a trip to Venice but at least we can have more Anniversary's to come now, where as before it may of been our last !

Just received this egg timer today, and it works pretty well. Put a couple of eggs in to boil alongside this clever little gadget, and sure enough by the time it showed the eggs should be soft boiled, they were cooked and ready to eat. They were ever so slightly overcooked for my preference (-1 star), but as you can see if you keep the timer on your plate, eggs do keep cooking after taking them out of the pan, and timings will change depending on egg size. I think the timer does a great job of showing how thoroughly cooked an egg is, but you just need to make sure to take your eggs off the heat just before the timer reaches your preferred level of "softness", if you prefer a runnier yolk.At any rate, for the low price of £1.70 (+1 star back), I think it's well worth trying one out for yourself. As I say I've only just received and tried mine out for the first time today so I can't say how long-lasting these timers are, but I would still recommend it with how cheap this product is.

The egg timer is amazing. Super easy to use just place in water with the eggs and watch the magic happen. I like mine runny egg where my wife likes them hard. So you can pick what one you like as the egg timer shrinks. When it hits the line on how you want your eggs then it's time to take the egg or eggs out very good. Cheap and great quality so far we have used it 3 times the first time using it was bad as the instructions are not very good. But as I found out after the first use I learnt how it worked quick just think the instructions need to be made clear.

I’ve been using this egg timer for years actually ten years the old one lasted but then I had the dilemma of where to get a new one. The only one I could see to buy in the shops always Sainburys at £6 so when this one came I was really happy to see it was the exact same product so it just shows you that Sainsburys is a rip off. I got two from Amazon for cheaper that one from Sainsbury’s. Anywhoo I like my eggs boiled and perfect with the yolk runny so I can dip my bread in. I really struggle without this egg timer. It works perfectly and saves energy if you like hard boiled I tells you when it’s done. Little tip when it says medium turn off the heat and you will have a hard boiled egg soon it’s saves some gas/electricity

Good for boiling an egg. I have had one of these products previously and it lasted several years. This is a recent purchase and has only been used about 20 times. It is starting to break apart. The glue appears to have given up and soon will be in 2 parts. See the photo. Low value item that will soon end up in the bin. This makes me frustrated, as this is not good for the environment. I will replace with another shortly, from a well known brand at a higher price.

Just like the reviewer who wrote the negative review on 16 Mar. 2016: on receiving this product, I found that it wasn't what was illustrated on the relevant Amazon page. In that illustration, what we actually see is the product called Egg Perfect - which has white writing on the plastic "egg" and is clearly labelled Egg Perfect. However, what I received was not the Egg Perfect, but instead was an inferior product called EggTimer - with black writing on the "egg", and labelled EggTimer. I've used both products in the past and the Egg Perfect is by far the more durable and reliable. I take exception to the advertiser showing a picture of the Egg Perfect, while sending out this other product. I've complained. Meantime, DON'T BUY if what you want is an Egg Perfect.

Fabulous little thing. We like soft boiled eggs but not too soft and since I've started using this little thing we can guarantee the eggs are just as we like them, rather than a hit or a miss before using it. I would highly recommend this little device

Gadgets can be a fad but purchased a replacement one of these after having used one for years. They not only tell you when your egg is cooked but when doing hard boiled eggs for sandwiches it provides temperature on cooling. A must in any kitchen
