My husband and I bought a new bedroom suit, upgrading our mattress size to king. We opted for a cheap mattress since we were buying the suit, with plans to replace the mattress at a later date. The mattress we purchased was memory foam. Memory foam can make you sweat, and our mattress does just that. So much so that we will likely wind up having to replace it sooner than later, not saving anything in the long run. I purchased this cover for two reasons. First, to try to cut down on the sweating. Second, I can’t wash the mattress, so I always add a mattress pad or protector that can be washed if needed. My review of this pad is that it’s sort of like a thick, fluffy comforter. It’s kind of squishy. I am not sure what I was expecting but I was going for the feel of a pillow top. It doesn’t feel like that but it doesn’t feel like you just tucked a comforter under your sheet either. All I can say is that it made the mattress a lot softer. Whether that is a good thing or not is a matter of opinion. My husband doesn’t sleep well on it but didn’t sleep well on the mattress. He still sweats but not as much (didn’t on our old pillow top - it’s the mattress). I wouldn’t say that this would resolve that issue/cool you down that much. He also says it is too soft in comparison to our daughter’s (doesn’t have the pad on her bed). I tend to think that his issues can’t be resolved without replacing the mattress and am not going to blame them on the pad. The fact is, I doubt there is a pad on the market that would make him like our current mattress any more than he does. As for me? I like it. Our old pillow top had gotten too soft for me (your core changes quite a bit when you have twins!) and I was having trouble getting in and out of bed at night to check on the kids. My hips were hurting constantly and my back spasms made it more efficient for me to just sleep on the couch. The new mattress was a bit uncomfortable for me, and this pad improved my quality of sleep tremendously. It is soft enough that my hips don’t kill me when I lay on my side at night, my back spasms have mostly stopped so that I’m better able to get in and out of bed with the kids, and I just feel comfortable when I’m laying in it. I am not someone that has ever owned an expensive mattress and this is an improvement over the egg crates we used to use when I was a kid. My mom and sister liked it enough to get one for their beds and have liked using them so far (they have the same mattress and found it uncomfortable as well.... I have not laundered mine but my sister washes hers weekly and has not complained). At the end of the day, this mattress cover is not going to make your mattress feel like a pillow top or high end mattress if it isn’t. It also isn’t going to make your mattress feel like you crammed a comforter under your sheets. It doesn’t slide around or bunch up. It is not going to solve any problems with night sweats, and it is probably going to be too soft if you like a firm mattress. What it is likely to do is add some cushion to an otherwise too firm mattress. If your mattress is so unsupportive that your hips hurt when you lay on your side at night, it might help. If you’re tossing and turning and not sleeping well because of that sort of thing, it may help. If you just want to add a little cushion, it might help. If you just want a mattress cover you can launder, it would work (I don’t believe it is waterproof but we didn’t need that). As for us, it is an okay purchase. Didn’t solve my husband’s problems but solved mine and I’m grateful for that. I’m sure that we will soon be replacing the mattress with a better quality, non memory foam one, and when we do, we won’t be using this any longer. For now, I think it was worth the money. I don’t have any complaints so I’m giving it 5 stars. That doesn’t mean it upgraded our mattress - it just means that it does what I believe it was advertised to do and I got what I expected from it.

I recently got the Chilipad Docker Pro system and it made my bed feel harder and maybe even scratchy and more uncomfortable. While it properly cooled me, the adverse effects on comfort made me start looking for a solution. No product reviews mention a Chilipad, which makes it really hard to figure out a solution - so I'm writing this review so that maybe someone else will benefit from my research and knowledge. If you want to put something over the Chilipad, it needs to be a thin enough layer to allow the cooling properties to com through. Latex and memory foam are not good solutions. It needs to be a more breathable material. This mattress pad ended up being the perfect solution. It has enough padding to add the soft feel back to my bed, but I it will still allow my chilipad to cool me. I have to keep the Chilipad temperature cooler than before, but I do not consider that a big deal. The mattress pad fits nicely around my mattress (a Tempurpedic) and grips on. It had no odors when I opened it, and was usable right away as the layer between my sheet and Chilipad. It also serves as a nice mattress protector to protect the Chilipad.

The fit is perfect. It wraps around the mattress like a glove and stays in place without shifting. The quality feels solid and well made. As for plushness, it’s there, but it’s more subtle than expected. It doesn’t look nearly as plush as the photos make it seem. That said, it does add noticeable comfort, and I wouldn’t take it off once it’s on. Overall, it’s definitely an upgrade from sleeping without it. If you have a memory foam mattress, this is a great way to make it feel more like a traditional mattress, if that makes sense. It also sleeps cooler and doesn’t trap as much heat, which is a big plus.

This has changed my sleeping so much!! My matress was hard and my older pad was not great, this pad has been super plush! LOVE it. Makes my bed so comfy and soft.

Just want to add an update. It's been almost a year since I bought this mattress pad, and I'm still really liking it!I It's held up well, and does an excellent job at staying put on the bed. Not once have I had it, or my sheets come off at the corners. I've washed it about 3 times, and it washes well. Very glad I bought it! I needed to replace my old mattress pad, and was looking for something that would hopeully not slide around and bunch up under me and that might be more cooling. I read the negative reviews that said this pad was thin, but the one I received is what I would consider on the thicker side. It was certainly thicker than the one I was replacing. I did toss it in the dryer on low for a few minutes to fluff it up before putting it on my bed. It is large/thick enough that I may not be able to wash it in my large size washing machine and I would consider taking it to laundrymat to wash in a commercial size machine. This pad has the feel of good quality to it. I like that the top has an almost satin like smoothness to it. . I think that's going to help keep my sheets from rubbing against it and moving it and bunching it up. I move a lot when I'm sleeping, which was causing my old pad to shift, come off on the sides, and bunch up under me. The sides are very deep and I had no issues with it covering all sides of my mattress and getting it tucked under the corners/sides of my mattress. The underside of the pad isn't as smooth, and I don't think it'll slide easily on the mattress when I toss and turn. As far as coolness goes, I'd say I'm sleeping a little cooler than with my old mattress pad. I live in the South, as transplant from the North, and am always too warm at night time. In my opinion, this is a good quality mattress pad at are really good price. If I find issue with it later on, I'll update this review.

Excellent quality. The squares are tightly sewn and do not move around. it is thick and pillowy and adds a nice soft layer to the mattress. My mattress is 14” thick and the covers stretchy elastic stays in place and is easy to put on. I highly recommend this product.

Didn’t fluff up. I followed all instructions and it’s not as thick as my mattress pad? I don’t really need a thick 80” x 78” king size cotton bed topper that has some depth to it with a full skirt. I found one that was perfect but it was a euro king size and had the elastic straps vs the full 369 skirt I like my toppers to have as well as my mattress pads. This one is still being sold on Amazon and begins with the letter B. They oddd all sizes and I didn’t pay attn to the dimensions. This one is 80” x 76” and even with the elastic straps it wasn’t enough to stretch to fit my normal American sized bed. I couldn’t return as I washed it. I had little black mark on it so I washed and air dried it. This one had the same luck marks the didn’t come off the pad snd more loose strings I was picking out of my dryers vents and other of my washing machine that doesn’t have an agitation device. I’m so tired of spending $$$ on items that you need to wash before you use especially when it gas dirty marks in it. It would take 4-6 of these to get the thickness I need for my chronic back pain & definitely not allowing my pressure points not pressing against my very expensive mattress. I’m a side sleeper and I can’t sleep any other way. I started to cry when this mattress topper didn’t fluff up like picture shows and description. I loved the other one and laid on both sides and it didn’t allow my hips to press against my mattress. But it doesn’t fit my bed and they can’t make it any larger. Like an idiot I just threw it away because when my bed was made it looked very odd. Nice abd plump on over 3/4 of my bed and less than a 1/4 lo looking like a pancake compared to the other side. It was the most perfect mattress topper I’ve ever had. I can assure y’all, looks don’t mean a thing when it comes to getting a great nights sleep. I hate it, but I’m probably going to order another one that’s the euro king size with the straps and just have my bed look uneven. At least I know I’ll get a fantastic peaceful good nights sleep. I also make sure everything is wicking and made with materials that aren’t hot and feel great on your skin and definitely not slippery. Same as my bed pillows. I need med firm and a squishy pillow to crumble up and sleep on. Everything with the exception of the euro bed topper is not sold on Amazon any long. Why is it, you find something perfect for your needs and then it not available any longer? I can’t find the brands I had and were perfect anywhere. I just had for so long and thought I need to replace so they were new again. After all the years of having everything stayed the same except was looking a little dinghy. If you’re looking for plush and non slippery DO NOT BUY THIS mattress topper that’s rated number #2 I believe in mattress toppers on Amazon. I can’t remember as I looked forever to find the best quality topper with down alternative filling that wasn’t polyester, memory foam, gel, or gel infused as they sleep so hot and are miserable, st least to me. It’s funny how lucky you are about your bedding as you get older. I use to look for things that were quality and looked nice. It like shoes m. The prettiest are never as comfortable as the ones that are just so-so! The old saying… @looks don’t last forever, but intelligence does” keep that in mind when purchasing anything and you’ll never go wrong. Make an intelligent decision and you’ll get items that will last a lot longer, and you may lay a little more fir it but you get what you lay for when you use daily and affects your health and your well being!!
