Excellent audio quality and low latency with latest drivers
After trying this device for 2 weeks, I am now convinced that this unit is unbeatable in it's price range. The much hyped mic preamps are GOLD. I put some excellent condenser microphones through them and these preamps give such a clear sound on every mic. they amplify small high frequency details in acoustic guitars and almost no noise even when pushed to max.The drivers released in 2024 seem to address all the latency problems people complained about earlier. I have a 2 year old i7 11700F desktop with 16 gb ram and SSD. this audio interface runs 96k@64 samples without any audio breakups in ableton. however, true latency is definitely bit higher. I compared with my RME babyface pro which runs 96k@192 samples and it actually feels faster than the audient. U can really sense it when playing electric guitar at 150-200 bpm . But RME is 3x the price ! So no complaints !Finally, the JFET input : yes, it makes a difference when using amp plugins. if your guitar has a somewhat boring or sterile sound(PRS guitars?) , the JFET adds some spice by fattening the sound and adding some harmonics. Sounds interesting on cleans and mild overdrives, not that good for high gain amps ( u can just choose the non-JFET line input for it).Add the fact that this unit has outputs for 2 sets of monitors ( and output stage sounds professional), 2 headphone outs and even includes talkback functions. Seriously, what more do u want at this price point ? IF u have a USB-C , then go for it.

The Only Review of this Product you will ever need
This is the only review you will ever need.Short Answer:It is one of the best in this price range and also has amazing drivers. Dont get it if you have headphones less than 80ohmsDuring this review I will be referring to @Julian Krause's report that I have attached hereMain Pros:1. This was one of the main factors for me, that this can drive both my 250ohm and 600ohm headphones to very high level no problem because being usb c to usb c it can draw more power from the system than any other usbA to usb b/c interface thus I dont need to spend money on a wall powered interface or a headphone AMP. You can check the comparison with other interfaces in the Output Power section of the sheet given, its all nicely color coded.2. Its idle noise even with the gain cranked to almost max powering the notorious shure SM7B is also minimal which is to be expected.3. Other major thing is that channel balance and crosstalk is no issue for this whatsoever which surprisingly some of other interface get it wrong as you can see from the sheet.4., Bundled software is really good, you get Cubase LE with it as well which is a well all round DAW and some awesome plugins.5. Frequency curve doesn't have low fall off like with the mk1 its all nice and flat.Major Cons:- This one can be a potential deal breaker, DO NOT GET THIS INTERFACE IF YOU USE HEADPHONES WITH LESS THAN 80 ohms output power as you can see in the second column of the sheet for some reason just doesn't work satisfactory with low power headphones which is just strange, you were so close to perfection audient.- Also it has less ports but you can already see that from the photos so not really a con.Verdict:I am very happy with this as part of my home studio.

After more than one year! Happy to have this❤
Noise floor is pretty low compared to focusrite. Easy handling. Pre amp quality at this budget is quite a deal. But, it doesn't have a memory to remember the last used settings or to configure default startup settings. Every time i get into session I have to manually turn up the output gain which could be improved in upcoming versions. Not every pc has usb c to c type of connection. So with the box, it would be better to add a normal usb type c cable. Not plug and play. Have to install the driver software form official audient website. But it doesn't take much time. Okay.Overall, durability is at the peak. So much reliable for rough use. Best single input soundcard.

Worth buying
I have been using this Audient ID4 for almost 20 days and my experience with this have been really good. It looks good and build quality is amazing because it's full metal body. The preamps on this are really good quality and they also add a bit of analog color, which I like.It has two headphones outs which is again a plus and you can use the volume knob for scrolling if you enable the ID button on the interface.Overall it is worth purchasing, only one con is that the volume resets everytime you shutdown your PC, but that's not a deal breaker.I would highly recommend this audio interface for home studios.

This thing is solid!
This thing has worked flawlessly! I got it back in October of 2023 and it has worked without a glitch. It was super easy to plug and play, it is a great build quality and the sound quality is immaculate.I love the speaker cutoff button and the only improvement I would want to see in a future version is another cutoff button for headphones, right now if you have something plugged in to the headphone port it gets blasted with the same audio going to your monitors, all the time, a switch to turn them off so not to wear them out would be nice.overall, GREAT product and very competitive pricing, because of that I can see myself buying into more Audient products in the future.

Upgrade from Focusrite
I had an older Focusrite interface and switched to Audient after having some driver issues with the Focusrite. So far it seems to work well.
