my grand-daughter loves it but it only lasted a month before it broke

I just recieved this and tried to install it on my bike. The piece that hold the bell to the bike is made of plastic and when I try to screw it in it just ends up loosening up. The thing just will not stay tight. The bell itself works great but the piece that holds it to the bike is just not working. Tried to return this but it isnt eligible for returns... 😕 greatly disappointed.edit** Still no word from the seller, so I suggest steering clear from this seller/product since you can't return it at all.Edit***seller finally got in touch with me and sent two replacement bells. Both work perfectly.

Works nicely for the price. Definitely not the greatest, as it sometimes does not work as it should. But it’ll do for now!

Ok, that might sound aggressive but this is the absolute worst bike bell I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Not that I have a whole lot of experience with bike bells, but I have to assume this one was designed but a toddler or sadist. Lets start first with it out of the package - the top casing was barely on. Trying to ring the bell worked the first time and then stopped working but getting stuck. Due to the casing being barely attached I easily pulled it off to inspect. What I saw caused me to shake my head in severe disappoint that a contraption could ever have been made and worse yet - sold. Plastic gears stuck shoddily put together made the bell ring. As you ring the bell, the mechanism creeps up, causing it to get stuck. If you push it back down it works once then creeps up again. The plastic is flimsy, the design is horrendous, an all out awful product. Save yourself the $5 and do not buy this because it will end up in the garbage you will need to spend more money to buy a bike bell that is worth it.

The sound is not loud, so be careful when you buy it because children will keep it upset

Easy to install, and easy to use. I haven't had it very long so we'll have to see how it holds up. We ride on bike trails and I like to let people walking know when we're approaching. This bell has a pleasant sound and will not startle them.

Bought this for the anodized red color, which I hoped would complement my ‘58 Schwinn cruiser. The bell arrived with a spot of color chipped off. The clamp is plastic, requiring tentative tightening (At what point will it strip?). Once tightened the ringer seemed muffled. Loosen it, it frees up the ringer, but the bell rotates on the bars. This is so poorly made...

We actually bought this bow to put on our grandsons Lightning McQueen 6 volt car since the car did not have a horn. The bolts that come with it was not long enough cost the steering wheel was a little wider diameter but we just went to Home Depot Depot and got a longer bolt. It works just fine and he likes ringing the bell.
