I purchased this pad about two months ago, and have put it through its paces while piecing a quilt. I love that it is small enough to sit on my sewing table, I didn't realize how much time I saved without having to jump up and down repeatedly to iron seams! the pad works exactly as described, and works beautifully. I love that it stores easily in a closet when not in use!Note, My sewing table is plastic with a glass top, so I'm not really worried about potential heat or steam damage from the iron through the bottom of the pad, but if you're working on a wood table, you may want to pay attention to the bottom of your pad for the first few passes of your iron to ensure you're not going to leave scorch marks if your iron is set too high.I love this thing and look forward to using it for years to come!

Don't know what took so long for me to hear about a wool pressing mat. Finally had a quilt retreat after almost 2 years and they were at the retreat. Loved them...came home and ordered a 17 x 14 (13.5) at a very good price. Really- used it to iron some very wrinkled scraps I wanted to cut up. I would not suggest using it on a wooden table as the steam goes thru the wool. Fortunately I had a table top protector on the table. I moved it to my ironing board and it fit perfectly and worked perfectly! I would recommend this product.

I love this pad! It's perfect for ironing my quilt blocks and other sewing projects. Takes up such little space on a craft table that I can leave it out all the time. Super handy!

Really like it. Now I can iron the full width if my fabric instead of a 17 x 24 inch area at a time. Great for pressing quilt tops before I take them to the quilter and she really appreciates having the tops ready to put on the machine when I give them to her!

I have another pad that I want to butt this one against. Unfortunately this pad is less than the 1/2” advertised so there is an obvious difference to my other pad. If I can build up the space difference and it look nice, I’ll keep the pad. This is nothing against the function of the pad, but I am unhappy with the incorrect listing of the thickness of the pad.

I used this to create a wall photo board, super cute and sturdy! Love the color and the size is just perfect!

Great value, live that it really helps to iron interfacing and doesn’t cause bubbling due to sturdiness & flat firm surface. Didn’t realize I had to have iron on wool so I did scorch an area

The size is perfect for my needs and works well. As mentioned in other review there is a "wet wool" odor if a lot of steam is used. I used it mostly for pressing when piecing quilt blocks. Pins work well to hold the fabric.
