I got a digital copy of this book. I was not expecting it to be as efficient as it turned out to be!Zbrush sucks. It just does. The UI is ass. Nothing is intuitive to me. It's super hard to find good follow-along tutorials because people mod and move their layout around so much. That's why I was interested in this, learning all the core concepts in vanilla zbrush.And honestly? This is working out better for me than a video. I guess I don't have to rewind, pause, and constantly chase info I didn't write down. It's just easy to peruse, and it's starting with a lot of strong basis.The book sometimes goes over stuff that'll be super obvious to experienced users, but I never knew the option was there or what it was for, as a self taught artist who'd given up on the software.Early chapters seem to address me as a very smart and serious 10yo, and it's exactly what I wanted lol I need someone to break it down in little, intelligible pieces, and Lukas is doing it really well.The tone isn't too dry, the pace is good, I'm progressing along on a throaway project, and I'm excited to sit down to it more seriously.I haven't finished the book (or the project) So I'll amend my review and add pictures, once I do!

This book is the exact thing I wish I had last year when starting my 3D journey. Not only has it helped immensely with leveling up my skills over the past few weeks, but also taught me a process and gave a far better insight as to how Lukas goes about his work - someone who I greatly admire! Junto a otro libro bastante conocido para artistas 3D, como es Anatomy for Sculptors, este libro es su complemento perfecto para entender del todo, la complejidad de la anatomía. El libro viene con capturas dentro de Zbrush, cosa que facilita mucho las cosas para los que no somos de habla inglesa. Lo recomiendo totalmente, y más viniendo del artistazo que es este autor!
