This is a sturdy cover for a diesel heater pump. It gives excellent protection against road grit, rocks and water from the highway. It also helps reduce the noise of the pump when running. I bought this for a Webasto heater pump, but it definitely will not fit. However, It does fit the pump on my Chinese diesel heater.

If you mount the pump outside (e.g. up under a fender or similar) this sleeve will provide significant weather protection which is probably worth it. It also will absorb a decent amount of the pump's clicking noise, but not all.Be aware that it is compatible with most of the "factory" pumps BUT the ones sold as "silent" or "much more quiet" do not fit as their dimensions are just different enough. IMHO worth it simply for weather and debris protection if your mounting puts the pump outside of the cabin space.

Does not fit Espar D2 pump as advertised. It sort of works but wont clamp down over the electrical connector.

These Chinese diesel heaters are famous for being loud, particularly the fuel pump.I didn’t have my CDH working before I bought this housing. So I can’t comment on the noise before. But it’s definitely noticeable now that I have everything setup and running.This was supposed to lessen the noise a little. Which I’m sure it true. But I’d hate to hear what it sounded like before this housing!

Pump noise is muffled a little but still noticeable inside.
